Review summary

Wish they had been more transparent about exchanging one day in Bermuda for Bar Harbor Maine. This was disappointing.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Painfully slow, not organized- it was cold and there was no communication regarding slow embarkation. Lot's of elderly standing in line for hours without offering water or additional assistance. Our luggage was broken and no aknowledgement. Getting documents for Bermuda and COVID was a little stressful and felt unclear but I believe you can get tested at port for a fee.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food and drinks were good- nothing spectacular but no major complaints. Food was salty at buffet at times and under seasoned at the dining areas. The food itself seemed okay quality but preparation could be better. O'Sheehans was pretty greasy, especially the wings. Lots of food waste. Drinks were fine, some could've been a little stronger.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Spa was nice but accoustics made it noisy at times and would have enjoyed unisex steam/sauna as I was travelling with mixed company. The spa has daily specials to be on the lookout for. Onboard activities were okay, standard cruise activity like bingo was fun. Too cold for a lot of outdoor activities, but they looked like it could be fun if it was warmer. Gym was nice, never crowded when I was there. Wanted to go bowling, but schedule seemed to always conflict with dinner or other activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Not many shows, one comedian and one mentalist. Smaller numbers provided by dancers. Felt like DJ played a lot of same music. Wanted to hear some island vibe music but missed it if it was played.

Children's Programs

I didn't have kids, but a passenger reported they cancelled kids club and gave their child a $100 video game credit.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Really nice staff- hard working and accomodating.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was clean and well maintained- they allow cigarette smoking in casino (gross) Design of ship was fine- can be confusing.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Small but fine- toilet layout was weird and difficult to use if you are tall. Everything was clean and cleaned daily.

Ship tip

Be patient and kind- remember it's a vacation and cruise industry getting back into swing.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

this was home port

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
It was fine- able to get ferry and buses there. The museum was fun, the shopping meh. Would have liked to have the additional time there, but instead the had us go to Bar Harbor without notice (yes, Bar Harbor Maine- it was weird).

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Easy enough to get off ship
