Review summary

Had a great time and would definitely cruise again but not on the ship. I really recommend a larger ship. This was my first time on Norwegian but my second cruise and my first was with Royal Caribbean and that was a larger ship and I did enjoy the activities more so with RC. I do enjoy the freestyle cruising however I do enjoy the my time dining with RC. I’m up in the air about what cruise line I should stay with but I definitely want to book one.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I’ve never been on a small ship before and most likely will not do it again but the buffet was average. The main dining room which was the Summer Palace I would give it a rating of two. The specialty restaurants especially the Cucina was out of this world in fact we went there twice.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
As far as activities there was not much to do on the ship. As someone else quoted the pool was overrun with groups of people and the hot tubs you couldn’t even get near because once a group of people get in they never got out. The guy singing by the Java Café in the main lobby was OK but played the same things every night and not upbeat.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All personnel was excellent. Did receive an attitude from one lady I think at guest services but other than that it was really good. The bartenders at the Java Café we’re awesome. I can give names but I’m not going to I already wrote the reviews and handed them in.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was very clean and there was an a day I didn’t see someone cleaning something from handrails two doors to the hallways etc. However the layout of the ship is really terrible. As someone else had quoted also that if there was an emergency you would have a hard time finding your way out. Some elevators take you to certain parts of the ship some elevators don’t take you and I still never figured out where everything was in seven days.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I do forget the gentleman taking care of my cabin but again he did an awesome job took care of me everything I need it no questions asked.

Ship tip

Get to know the ship as soon as you can if you can even do that. If you want to get in the pool or the hot tub’s you better get out there by 7:30 in the morning. The Italian restaurant is out of this world and I also did enjoy Cagney’s steak that was phenomenal. The ports of call were great. And check out the bartenders at the Java Café they’re great.

Thanks for the review, you will figure out who you want to cruise with. We look for the itinerary and then decide which line we feel would be the best fit for us.
