Review summary

Very relaxing Cruise. We intentionally did not book many excursions or do many activities as we wanted a laid-back relaxing vacation. The food was incredible and the Haven restaurant and specialty dining. I had read reviews previously that said if you book the Haven you won't want to go back to booking regular rooms and I believe that now lol. It's a very pampered experience.

We were in the Haven. Fast & smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Specialty dining in the main dining rooms were great. Because we were in The Haven we had our own dining room for breakfast and lunch. We only ate at the buffet three times throughout the 12-day cruise. Compared to the dining rooms it's mediocre at best. There were very few things that I liked on the buffet.

Onboard Activities

We didn't do the climbing wall but it looked fun. We went to a few shows and they were all very good. Most of the daytime activities were not our cup of tea but we enjoy lounging around more on vacation and not staying busy all the time.

Service and Staff

Again we were in a Haven suite so I think you had to take that into account. Our Butler and room Steward were amazing. Everyone greets you by name when you're in the Haven so that's fun :) the few times we were in the buffet I would not say anyone there was overly friendly except the people that greet you at the door.

Ship Quality

I love the size and layout of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

We got a great deal on the deluxe owner suite. The view is incredible. because you overlook the pool you kind of feel like you're in the middle of everything but still very separated. Having your own deck with a hot tub is wonderful. The size of the room was perfect. There was plenty of closet and drawer space. The bathroom sink area was nice and spacious though the toilet room could have been larger. You can definitely tell it's a dated ship. we have problems with the speakers in the room and little things here and there but nothing that hugely impacted our cruise. I would not pay full price for this room but at the rate we got it at it was well worth it.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Embarkment was a little crowded and slow getting through security. If you're in the Haven make sure you don't go where people are directing you as they will point you into the general lines. they scared us about disembarkment because apparently there were delays on the previous sail but ours was smooth as butter.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
Doing the Panama canal was incredible. We stayed on the ship the entire time. It was very educational and interesting. I'm not sure that I would do it again anytime soon but definitely worth it.

Colon, Panama

We were only here a few hours but it's a crappy place. It's not worth it to get off the boat.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

Costa Rica's beautiful. We had a great time. We did a canal boat tour sightseeing in the rainforest and visited the banana plantation. We also visited the beach for about 30 minutes. the beach was okay but there was no swimming signs posted and I would not have wanted to spend the day there.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We've been to Grand Caymans a few times so we went to seven Mile Beach and just hung out for the day. the water and Beach there is beautiful and there's tons of watersports if you're into that.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

By far my favorite port. We didn't excursion so we didn't hang around the port area very much. We did the experience scuba diving which was amazing. I don't know how many feet of visibility you have in the water but it's a lot maybe seventy feet. It's some of the most beautiful water I've ever seen.

Harvest Caye, Belize

It rained while we were here. We could see tons of jellyfish in the water from our balcony. we didn't explore but our neighbors dead and said they had a great time at the butterfly House and a few other places. The water did not look very clear.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We did a Mayan ruin excursion. Would definitely do it again. The buses were large and clean and the tour was fantastic.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

We've been here before in the first time I would have said it was one of the best spots we ever snorkeled. this time there was very low visibility and there was little jellyfish in the water that would sting you. It was a November so I guess just that time of year. the islands nice in the beach is nice you can eat or drink package and they set up a buffet for lunch so it's a low-cost port for a relaxing Beach day.
