it was great. the only bad experience I had was I have a mobility scooter I need. this is my 6th cruise. we park outside the door due to not fitting in the room. on the 3rd day. it was gone. i was frantic. i called guest service to report and discovered they took it. they didn't leave a note or phone call to tell me. it made me miss my excursion time. they refused to give money back. it was a very bad way for them to handle this.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
No problems getting on ship. however, getting off to come home was not good due to mississippi river being high. we waited in line for 1 hour to get off boat.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
the food is always good. Plenty to pick from.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
the shows were excellent. the pool/hot tub was relaxing. on the last day i went out early to get a good chair. nobody was out yet but every chair was saved with a towel holding it. How rude!!! Selfish and inconsiderate. Even though I was one of the first out there we had to go to upper deck to get a chair. there should be a rule with that .
Entertainment
5 out of 5
i loved all the shows. everyone was of quality and exceeded my expectations.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
our steward was very friendly but not the best we had. guest service didn't handle bad situations i experienced and witnessed with others well.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
yes. i thought it was clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
it seemed smaller than the balcony rooms i normally get. but it was comfortable.
I know how difficult it can be to park one’s scooter in their stateroom, not mention the problems maneuvering around in such close quarters. However parking it in the passageway creates a hazard for emergency response teams and their equipment. Picture, if you will, the hazard to your ship mates trying to evacuate the ship in the event of a power failure. It has been years since we cruised on the Pearl, so I can’t speak to Pearl specifically, but most ships are quite clear on passengers not leaving personal items in the passageway.
