Review summary

Accomplished goal to relax! Food was great, cabin was great & once we found the good bar servers, the drink package was great!. We had been to most of the ports before so we didn't get off the ship. I didn't feel safe going to Guatemala or Honduras so we didn't get off the ship.

Embarkation

Embarkation was a joke. Why didn't they email us that it was delayed. We arrived after 1:00 expecting to walk right on. Very disappointing & shame on NCL for not keeping their customers informed. At least we made it for the Drill & didn't have to make it up. But didn't get our 1st drink until around 6:00pm. Should receive some compensation for that!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was excellent! I even had fried alligator on the buffet on Saturday; never saw it again though. The food in both the complimentary restaurant & the specialty restaurants were very good with a lot of tasty choices & varity! Very pleased!

Garden Cafe / Kid's Cafe

Loved the singing "Washy, Washy, Happy, Happy",greetings!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pool was very nice, but was disappointed in the pool bar staff. Only encountered two very good bar staff; Danko & one other from the Phillipines. The guy from the Phillipines was multi tasking constantly; he would be stocking, then serving & then picking up cups, plates & trash. He was amazing! He got to see his brother on another Norweign ship while in port; hadn't seen him in 4 years!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed Lace, the guitar player & the special show "Josh" can't remember his last name in the Stardust. Beautiful voice! We really had no interest in seeing the shows because we wanted to enjoy dinner & not have to rush; that's what Freestyle is all about! The band by the pool was good; what we saw of them, of course. It seemed every time they started playing, they had to stop because of the rain. That wasn't Norweign's fault.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We were very pleased with all service, except the bar staff! Our cabin stewart, Jackie, was 5 stars! The restaurant waiters were 5 stars! Our only complaint was the bar servers. We were in the Mojito bar & I asked for a Cranberry & vodka, the server said "don't make me angry" so I left & went to another bar. Most of them seemed unhappy to be there!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Didn't like that you couldn't enter the inside from the pool on both sides. You had to walk in the rain to the other side of the ship to go to the buffet or to the bathroom. And the deck was slippery & unsafe; I almost slipped twice!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable, from the bed to the air conditioner! No complaints at all!

Disembarkation

Delayed & very unorganized once off the ship! More people doing nothing than trying to help organize the flow of people
