Review summary

This was our 6th cruise with NCL. We prefer NCL free style cruising and want to experience all their ships. And now that we are Platinum Latitudes members we get extra perks, like extra specialty dining dinners, priority embarkation, and we always do free-at-sea so we get the drink package, flights (buy one get one), some excursion $$$, some free internet minutes (just perfect for us), and other things. So looking forward to all these perks on our next cruise on the NCL Bliss to Alaska in September.

Specialty restaurants excellent, especially Teppanyaki. Buffets were ok this time.

Onboard Activities

My husband experienced the race car track (has done this before). And we used the putt-putt course a lot. Did a lot of walking around deck 8 outside and inside decks 6,7,8.

Entertainment

Elements on NCL Joy was excellent. Magic show not so much. Always fun to see the "Beatles".

The NCL Joy is very large and everything was nicely kept. She apparently was just re-furbished in January 2024.

Perfect size for 2 adults. Comfortable, clean, quiet.

Ship tip

Book dining, entertainment before you get on the ship - months before so you get what you prefer.

Yes we did an excursion around Bermuda. Saw from one end of the island to the other. Expensive place. Historically it was nice to visit.

Great experience. Beautiful ship, great crew, weather was super. Best embarkation/ disembarkation ever. CBP facial recognition saved time. NCL’s processes worked flawlessly. Internet via StarLink worked flawlessly. Bermuda is a great place to visit.
