Review summary

This was my third cruise with NCL and my fiancés first cruise. He enjoyed it so much, he wants to do another in September. It was an amazing time, we made the very best of everyday and kept busy. We even joined in some activities we normally wouldn’t back at home like bingo, dance line lessons, game shows. We booked passes for The Vibe which is a pass only section of the ship that has its own bar, bathrooms, rinse off showers, two hot tubs and plenty of lounge chairs - it was the best decision we made. I’m not into crowds at the pool, and I didn’t want to be around noise and children (I escaped my own) so this was extremely enjoyable for us.

Embarkation

Was quick and easy for me, from the start of embarkation, I was on the ship in less than 10 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The Manhattan Room - Main Dining Room

5 out of 5

Never had a bad meal here. Their lobster ravioli is so delicious. Chocolate lava cake is to die for.

Ocean Blue

5 out of 5

Wow, this food was top notch. I truly enjoyed my meal here. Every dish was amazing and full of flavor - cooked to perfection.

Cagney's Steakhouse

4 out of 5

I had the porterhouse steak, wish I would’ve been more educated on steaks because it was a bit fatty but the taste was amazing so it was still edible.

The Local

3 out of 5

The Local is the only place to get food besides room service 24/7. The options are limited but when you’re hungry - who cares. They no longer fry the wings - they’re oven baked and come soft and soggy so don’t expect a crunch, however I discovered that if you ask them to bake them 2/3 times and don’t mind the wait, they taste so much better.

Elements was an amazing show! Footloose was good but too long (in my opinion).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It is a small space for two people, however we didn’t mind it because we were only in it to sleep, shower, etc.

Ship tip

Book your activities as soon as you get on the ship, things get booked quickly. There’s always a standby line to wait on but to avoid that, just book and plan out your week accordingly.

Ports of call

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Belize was beautiful, I enjoyed the beach/the pool.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
I can’t speak for the entire port, however we went to a beach that was part of our excursion and the water was dark, full of large hard rocks. I can say the food that was served was delicious, the staff was friendly.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel’s water was crystal clear, like an aquarium underwater. I enjoyed the shopping center, as well as the local restaurants.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
It’s expected to wait long with thousands of people trying to get off of a ship, but the zig zag lines through The Manhattan dining room was a bit much.
