We were so happy to be able to cruise again. We had a wonderful time and love NCL because it’s such a relaxing time. The Joy is my favorite of the Breakaway class.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The whole process was well organized and fast. We were on board within 1 1/2 hours start to finish.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We had wonderful meals in the main dining as well as the specialty restaurants. The buffet was well stocked and offered a nice variety of food choices.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
We did the pool although on the Joy it was a much smaller pool than any of the other NCL ships we’ve been on. Pool chairs were not a problem as the crew was tagging them and removing items after 90 minutes.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainment was really very good. We did Foot Loose,Elements, the comedians twice (one PG one adult). We saw the Broadway Cabaret Show and it was fantastic! The Beatles cover band was excellent! Definitely a must. Our cruise director Roberto was always out and about! Game shows in the atrium offered something for everyone.
Children's Programs
We are all adults
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service was great! Everyone was cheerful and greeted us with a smile. Our room steward Conrad was wonderful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This ship is beautiful! So far my favorite so we will look to book it again. The Observation Deck on 15 was a wonderful quiet place with full bar service and light snacks.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was comfortable and perfect for the small amount of time you actually spend in it.
Ship tip
Definitely spend some time on the Observation Deck!
In my opinion this is a wasted stop. I much rather have a sea day. There is very little to do and the port itself is not impressive. Most people stayed on board.
We love this port. It has something for everyone. We did a snorkel excursion on our last morning with Native Catamaran. I highly recommend them! NCL has their own free ferry to St. George’s where you can sight see or visit beautiful beaches.
