Review summary

Great trip with friends but I'm ready for a new adventure.

Embarkation

It took FOREVER! We were in line for over 2 hours.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We enjoyed Garden Cafe buffet for breakfast and lunch. Lines were short, food was good and a wide variety of choices. Our specialty dining at Cagney's was disappointing. The Lobster Bisque was sent back because it was cold, my entree (Surf & Turf $25 upcharge) was very good but the sides were not. Broccoli was luke warm and undercooked, potatoes au gratin was overdone. The freestyle dining at Manhattan Room, Savor and Taste was much more enjoyable. Hint- don't spend the extra on the specialty dining.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Spice H2O hot tub and bar was a nice quiet adult area. I wish they didn't allow smoking on part of the deck but we went to the other side and it wasn't noticeable. We also did the race car experience. It was fun. Mini golf was fun as well.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Beatles were great but The Cavern was very crowded. We weren't able to see them in the theater but friends said it was much better. Footloose was advertised but not offered on our ship. Elements was ok. John, comedian, was hysterical. My sides hurt.

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Servers were always polite and more than willing to help. Very attentive, especially in the buffet area clearing away plates and offering to get a beverage for you. Our room steward, Marlon, was awesome. Filled the ice bucket twice a day and left us very cute towel critters. One complaint, Mark from cruise director office was very inappropriate at the Bingo game on the last day. I don't consider myself a prude but he was making me uncomfortable with comments about hooking up, looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend, etc. This was not labelled as an 18+ Bingo game and there were some younger kids there. Not okay.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We only had to wait for an elevator one night. Surprising as there were only 2 sets of elevators but they moved quickly. Bathrooms in common areas were very clean. As were the theater, pool decks and bars.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our room was very comfortable. Took a minute to figure out lighting and door indicators but we got there. Only complaint would be the closeness of the bed to the closet. Very tough to manuever.

Ship tip

Download the app so you always know what's going on.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

The beaches are beautiful. Transportation by bus is iffy. The hassle and extra charges for disembarkation won't have us rushing back. Between Covid testing and Bermuda fees it was an extra $170.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We self carried our luggage which helped speed things up.
