It was a fun family vacation. We made the most out of the issues onboard with no splash academy, and the weather. It was a bit rocky all week. The kids said they’d go again and It beat snow that we were getting at home hands down.

On the ship by 1130 or so.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

All of the food was fantastic! My kids loved the crepes station!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
All of the activities were fun, but because of the splash academy being closed I feel like they should have made the activities more affordable at this time. There is only so much pool and mini golf you can do before they are bugging to do the extra cost things. Yeah, They had free plays during the days but most of the time it was when you were at port, not in the evening when they’re looking for activities.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We only saw the magician and a comedian. Both were good.
Service and Staff

Rowan was our kids favorite. He sang in the Garden cafe when you enter and wash your hands. My kids still sing it at home.
Ship Quality

The ship was spotless. We saw a picture of the pool deck with the topiaries and grass and decided they should have left it. It was beautiful.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The size of this cabin with a family is amazing! This was my first interior and I didn’t mind it one bit. Highly recommend for family with kids. Our oldest ended up with his own room due to only one twin Bed in the second bedroom, they made the couch into a queen bed for my 2 smaller kids. I’m not sure why they don’t have more beds in the bedroom there was enough room. I’ve seen pictures with more so maybe it was this particular cabin that didn’t. The two bathrooms was a lifesaver! Spend the extra it was worth it.
Ship tip
Budget for the extra cost of ship attractions. Go karts are 15 per ride, laser tag is 9 per game, virtual reality simulators are 8 each with one at 20. Arcade games 1.30- 2.75 a game.
We have been to Cozumel 3 times. This was our Second time to puerta playa port, it’s our favorite. The shopping is better and I feel like it’s more relaxed. We did a dolphin and manatee experience from a vendor just off the ship. It was worth the money for sure. We spent so much time in the water with them and learned tons about each one. The only down fall was the picture package price. It was 275 dollars! So we opted not to do it.
We booked Daniel Johnson Sloth and monkeys. It also had an iguana farm and macaws there. Worth every penny! There is another option to hold a sloth on the island closer to the port. We ended up having lunch above it. Not nearly as nice, they pull them off the trees and the sloths scream! It’s terrifying to hear. My son was so upset to see it happen. He adores sloths which was the point of the trip. They also were super rude to him for snapping a picture of them hanging there. I get it, they’re trying to make a Living, but he’s 6 and doesn’t understand. It validated I made a great choice with Daniel Johnson’s! If you get the chance, DO IT!
We made the best of it. It poured most of the day, then got sunny as we were leaving. But it was beautiful. I would like to spend a day there in good weather.
Thanks for the review. The issue with limiting the number of beds in a cabin relates to total capacity limitations for the ship. You can’t have every cabin capable of sleeping 3 to 4 guests. It would make the ship capable of carrying 6000 passengers that way.
