Our cruise began as an overnight in Sydney NSW, leaving later the next evening. Then, we spent a day at sea before landing at Burney, Tasmania. From there, we stopped at Melbourne, Victoria, where we overnighted until the following afternoon. The next two days were spent sailing in the Tasman Sea toward New Zealand. On the following day, we entered Milford Sound, followed by Doubtful Sound and finally Dusky Sound. Upon exiting Dusky Sound the ship entered the Pacific Ocean, sailing to Port Chalmers, the gateway to the city of Dunedin. On the following day, we Anchored off the coast of Akaroa, which is about an hour and a half from Christchurch. The next day was a visit to Wellington. From there, we spent two days at sea before returning to Sydney. This was a nice relaxing cruise.

They did a great job of keeping the ship clean and sanitized!

Cruises are always a good idea but this one was a little lacking for us due to the lack of personal service and complimentary food options. I dislike having so much more costs involved after I have already paid for the cruise. It even charged an additional fee for charging money to the card for using the casino machines on a so-called cashless ship. This was my 47th cruise so this being my 1st NCL cruise I was a little under-whelmed. The people were all courteous but they are spread too thin.

Nez Zealand was a pleasant surprise- CLEAN, FRIENDLY, and EASY TO GET AROUND Would advise anyone who just want to get away to take the cruise

It was a very good cruise, very interesting ports, nice combination of scenery of mother nature and very civilized local life. Very good service overall.

Beginning of December late spring on NZ South Island, still cold, windy rainy. NCL Shore excursions were poorly organized. Meeting in Stardust Theater was terrible. Lost too much time waiting before could leave ship. Don't book NCL shore excursions!

Overall a fantastic trip. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Absolutely Phenomenal South Pacific Cruise Experience. Thank you for the opportunity to travel to and visit ports and to meet people I never would have gone to or have met without this Cruise. It was a Cruise of a Dream Cruise of Lifetime

Going from one iconic island to the next and yet finding each one to be quite distinct in culture, language, and products was an incredible delight.

Everything worked like clockwork! Very disappointed about not being able to make specialty restaurant reservations on line before the cruise.

Loved this ship and the staff! Good crowd of people, mostly older and very friendly! Room was quiet and easy to navigate the ship.

Overall it was an amazing cruise . Can’t wait to do it again

Our third time on the ship. Always a happy crew. I think this is because of exceptional leadership from the senior staff. The next cruise team and the super shopper Richard are among the best in NCL, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean.

Food was good and liked ability to dine anywhere within constraints of restaurants with extra charges ("nominal fees" for these were not particularly nominal). Liked the ports of call and cruising route. Wheelchair assistance when required was very good. Entertainment could be improved - I like to participate in daytime events rather than evening ones and these were lacking.

We had a fabulous time on our Alaska vacation, and enjoyed the Jewel tremendously. Our balcony cabin was basically as expected, with sufficient storage and surface space. I was pleasantly surprised to find USB ports in the bedside light fixtures, makes charging your phone and using it as an alarm much simpler! The entertainment on the ship was fantastic, Anna and Vlad were fantastic acrobats, and Larry Omaha was quite funny! Food was as expected, tasty but nothing exceptional except in the specialty restaurants. We have no complaints about service, every crew member we encountered was super friendly and helpful.

We had a great time on this cruise. I picked Norwegian because it is supposed to be very kid friendly. I did not feel like there was much to offer for my kids. They were most excited about the arcade and the sports court. The basketballs were all damaged, the golf clubs were all for left-handed golfer’s, shuffleboard equipment was damaged and not usable, the sports court had a net over it which is about 4 feet above the hoop so it was always hitting a nap and people were very frustrated with that and the sport court was not accessible. We had a great time on this cruise. I picked Norwegian because it is supposed to be very kid friendly. I did not feel like there was much to offer for my kids. There were two tiny hot tubs and one pool. Hot tubs were always so busy that you didn’t even want to sit in there because they were overcrowded. Just wasn’t a whole lot to offer on the ship for children unless you want to throw them in the splash Academy all day and not spend any time with them. I have cruised a lot and this is the first time I have used Norwegian. I did love their main dining at any time. That was very convenient. Overall I wasn’t. Impressed with them.

I live adventure cruising - using the ship as a "floating hotel" while exploring the beautiful Alaska rain forests. NCL departed on a Monday which worked perfectly into our schedule as we attended a wedding in Alaska before the cruise and sailed back to Vancouver on our way home to the east coast.

We could not have asked for a better experience! We looked forward to this for over a year and it exceeded our expectations. We will definitely cruise with Norwegian again.
