Review summary
You get the idea, Carnival (suprisingly enough) was a better experience. Nothing happened on time with this crew (especially leaving from ports). If we had known that we would not have departed from a port until 2 hours after the scheduled time then we could have done more on shore. Instead we spent those additional hours sitting at the pier. In addition, no one (except for our stateroom steward) cared whether we were there or not (especially food service). The ship seemed more overcrowded as compared to other cruises we have taken. The food was below average as compared to our other cruise experiences and the buffet was nasty. No crew members were monitoring the buffet, as such adults and kids were taking food with their hands AND putting it back if they changed their mind. Kids everywhere with no supervision, in one example (there are more) two kids walked into the Spinnaker lounge early in the afternoon and went to sit down at a table to play a game they brought with them. On the table was a drink menu which one of the kids took and threw across the lounge for no apparrant reason. I have many more examples however suffice it to say that we will not cruise NCL again and would recommend you seek out a higher quality and more professional cruise line to get more value AND relaxation from your dollar.
