The food at Cagney's and Le Bistro were excellent.  One night at dinner at Le Bistro, Assistant Waiter Selvin Dmello asked what I wanted for dessert.  I replied "Nothing, thank you".  Selvin returned with a dish that had the word "Nothing" written in chocolate and decorated with maraschino cherries.  We all had a good laugh and Selvin received and extra tip    See attached photo of my "Dessert".

We planned a 60th Anniversary cruise with my parents. Julie Plaugher with Dream Vacations recommended the Haven. We had personal service the entire cruise. We had a butler, a cabin steward, a conceirge and pool area steward who catered to our every need. The Haven comes with free wi fi, 3 specialty dinners, unlimited drink packages and credits toward excursions. It is a tremendous value for the quality and service of the Haven. I would travel on the Jade in the Haven again! 

My favorite part of the 7-day Western Caribbean cruise from Tampa, FL on the Norwegian Jade was the incredible staff of dedicated, caring & professional NCL crew!! From the moment we stepped in line with our bags at the Tampa cruise port shortly after noon, we were greeted by smiling, helpful baggage handlers, cruise crew who moved us quickly thru the check-in process, and guided us effortlessly through to getting our Shore Cards. Our group of 8, including a wheelchair traveler, was sitting at the Garden Cafe eating lunch by 1:20 pm!

The fun really kicked into gear when we reached our cabins to find our bags already waiting outside the door & met our cabin steward, John D. We absolutely LOVED the scrumptious dining at the Grand Pacifica & later at the Alizar dinning rooms. The first night's outstanding stage show at the Stardust Theater only whet our appetite for more & over the course of 7 nights it never disappointed.

We purchased the ultimate beverage package & I think we hit every bar on the ship, our favorites being the Mixers Martini Bar on deck 6 & Spinnaker's Lounge on deck 13 (shout outs to attentive servers Zhang He & Milan (sp?)!

A great bargain & well worth every penny. We enjoyed the the Topsider Grill, Mandara Spa & Salsa lessons at the Spinnaker. And, oh, the poolside band was AMAZING!.

Our group enjoyed the beautiful Jade ship interiors and the cabins and public spaces were kept scrupulously clean. We loved the Washi Washi! We even often saw crew washing & painting the ship exterior when we docked at ports.

All in all, my first 7-night cruise on the Norwegian Jade was a stellar experience & one that I'd recommend to others without hesitation! This is my 4th cruise, but the first outside RC line & I can't wait to take a longer, 11-night cruise with NCL in the near future!!

I think the best part of the cruise is the nightly entertainment.  The shows are excellent and the casts are wonderful.  But the shore excursions can be a little boring, not worth the amount of money or your time.

Strong points : entertainment , main dining room soups, appetizers, desserts.

They took my suggestion and now have a passenger to passenger unlocked book exchange in the library.

weak points;  lox absent from buffet.   Too much cost cutting on meats.   

Jasmine restaurant.   Worst 2 dining chinese dining experiences on land or sea.

Freestyle Cruising, you can't beat it!!

Cabins were nice, clean, and attending cabin staff was great!

Food.....eat when you want, where you want, with who you want. Many choices included in you package, plus many upgrades if desired but not necessary. 24 hour room service if needed.

Booking with , was a piece of cake.

THE FAVORITE PART OF OUR CRUISE WAS THE FRENCH RESTAURANT..THE SHIP WAS OLD IN DECOR AND ONLY HAD ONE POOL THAT WAS OCCUPIED MOST OF THE TIME.WE HAD TO WALK TOO FAR TO GET TO THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS AS OUR ROOM WAS AT THE VERY FRONT OF THE SHIP.

Entertainment was great. Food was very good, service a bit slow. Room was quiet, adequate. I didn't think much of the Norwegian private port, nothing to see when snorkling.

There are next to no singles on the ship over 35. Not a party ship, no chance to meet anyone for romance on this cruise line.

The NCL experience was excellent. However, the PL customer service was poor. I will not book through PL again FOR ANYTHING. I will book directly with the Cruise line. Only go on excursions sponsored/booked by Norwegian Cruise Lines. Do not go through PL Affiliate! (shoreexcursions.com)

The Tampa Port made leaving and returning quite simple.

We really enjoyed our excursions: snorkeling in Cozumel and Roatan was beautiful. The diving was also excellant. Really enjoyed the Mayan ruin trip in Costa Maya. And parasailing in Belize was such a special time; the staff on our boat made it so easy and we felt so safe. The equipment was all new and all we had to do is just float.  Overall, NCL Jade was a great ship, with great food and wonderful people taking excellant care of us!

The shore excursion on Roatan was very good. We booked the tour prior to departing and the hookup with the guide could not have been easier. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. There were only three couples in our group so we got plenty of attention.

The meals on board were okay..best was at La Cuchina (specialty dining). I would recommend anyone taking this cruise to make reservations prior to boarding (as soon as possible), even for the complementary dining (Grand Pacific) to avoid waiting times.

Seemed to us that the ship was somewhat dated...still reflected a Hawaiian theme.

Some arears inside the ship permitted smoking. The casino allowed smoking and kept their doors open next to a theater and a lounge...the odor kept us away from these areas.

Overall, has a good time.

Loved the freestyle nature of the cruise! Felt no pressure to comply or do what others were doing. The staff was amazing, friendly and very professional. The ship could use a remodel tho some areas looked old and tired.

This was our first experience with Norwegian, and we were not impressed, food at the main dining room was tolerable at best, which is why the upcharge restaurants were so busy... The entertainment was good but 1 comedian for 7 days was not good. The lack of a piano bar with a good piano bar player was another big let down. The ports were great, drink package was worth it, but overall less than impressed....

I wanted to give accolades to the fine crew. I have two shining stars to talk about our cabin stewart Mr. Santiago Bautista was wonderful, very thoughtful, kind, and courteous. He made our stay extra special with personal touches in celebration of our 23rd anniversary. The next person is Ms. Bongeka the fitness instructor; she was helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive to my needs. 

The entertainment on board was top notch it was wonderful seeing a different performance each evening.

The food was delicious, we appreciated the casual attire and free style mode of eating in a variety of locations.

Thank you for the special memories.

Pleasantly surprised by NCL and the itinerary.  The entertainment was first rate and better than what I've seen on premium cruises. Everything was top notch throughout the cruise . 

We really loved our Norwegian cruise because of eating at the Grand Pacific we had a waitress & waiter Milagros Escobar & Rudi they took really good care of us the whole cruise. We sat at table 55 at 5:00PM every night. We also enjoyed eating at Blue Lagoon with Chris as our waitress. We liked that they were open 24 hours.

My favorite part of the cruise is entertainment every night at the theater

the acrobat shows and the magic shows are excellent

there are 2 things that I would like to share:

the waiters at the restaurants did not recommend us for the food when 

we need assistance .

the housekeeper is good to take care the cleaness of the rooms

I suggest to get the excursions credits at the 4 ports can be accumulated for example some ports we do not use the credits  and we can not use them for the other ports, we think it should be better to be accumulated.

Ports of call were great but the time we could spend at the new private island in Belize was way to short.  Could shorten times in another port to allow more time in Belize. Food at specialty restaurants was excellent.  Staff was very friendly and gracious.  Activities seemed to overlap preventing participation in many of them.  Ship was well cared for and accommodations were adequate but smaller than we have found on other ships.  

This was my 14th cruise so I have a lot to compare this cruise to.  The good:  the staff was very attentive and courteous, the ship seemed clean, and the entertainment was good.  The bad:  The pools were freezing cold (there were only 3 or 4 adults in the pool at any given time) and the dining room had inferior food and service.  There are many specialty restaurants on this ship and am wondering if this is by design to encourage you to spend more $ in the specialty restaurants.   We landed up eating at the buffet most nights.  The food was way superior but that's not why I cruise.  Love the whole dining room experience.  

We were the first cruise ship to visit Harvest Caye, their new private island in Belize.  It was very well laid out in a Disneyesque sort of way - lots of things for kids of any age including a huge pool with many lifeguards and an awesome splash pad.  The nature preserve is not completely set up yet since there was one lone toucan, but I have hopes it will give everyone a glimpse of the flora and fauna of the area.  There are lots of other activities offered as well.  Food may be purchased on Harvest Caye as opposed to the lovely free cookouts offered by other cruise lines.

Norwegian level of service, quality, and value has sunk below that of Carnival. Booking our kids was a complete pain in the ass as we had to call back five times to get that straightened out. They gave my 16yr old daughter my wife's alcohol package. Speaking of children; the adult night club was packed full of underage girls dancing with adult men and this was well after mid night. our unlimited beverage package was severely limited as NCL raise the price of half their drinks by $3 to remove them from the unlimited package. We just cruise NCL three months earlier. Our dinner package last cruise included five premium diners. This cruise only three in our package. It was the same exact price we paid on our last cruise. Have the documents to prove it but NCL argued us invalid. The highlight scam of the cruise was Harvest Kaye Belize, where we only had five hrs. Unlike Royal Caribbeans private island where being on ship or land is the same; nothing was included at Harvest Kaye. You had to pay cash for all your drinks and food. The cruise director was a complete ass who everyone could see right through. He was overheard by several passengers making fun of guest. Dingo Dan, what an ass clown he was.
