Review summary

NCL staff prior to the cruise were terribly unhelpful and seemed unaware I was a paying customer deserving of courtesy and respect. The itinerary for the islands was excellent but the shore excursions were not well organized--it seemed like they had never done them before. The 3 South African ports prior to Cape Town were some place between wretched and so so. Food was mostly bland and boring. I bought extra specialty dinners so I could treat friends to my birthday dinner but was not allowed to use them for my friends. We ate in the "included" dining room instead. Bummer.
