We have always been huge supporters of Norwegian, we are platinum members and it has been our first choice for a long time but after this last experience I’m not so sure I feel the same way. I’m sure will give them another chance and hopefully it will be better, my fingers are crossed.
Embarkation

Being Platinum helped with the lines.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Drinks were good as was the bar service. We felt the good quality has made a huge step down from previous years. Not one lobster night on a 10 day cruise is unheard of. The menu was weak and repeated every 3 days.
We went to three of the specialty restaurants and all three were a huge fail. Cagney’s steakhouse doesn’t even have prime rib anymore. What’s with that?
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows and entertainment were decent, typical cruise line shows but it’s what we expected so they were fine.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Room steward was terrible. First time we have ever left a ship being disappointed with our room attendant. Some days by 2 or 3 PM our room had still not been made up and I just told her to forget it and give me fresh towels.
Other staff members were good and always friendly.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Terrible experience on board with the cigarette smoke. The casino was filled with people at all hours just sitting on chairs and smoking and drinking because it was inside. The smoke from the casino migrated throughout that area of the ship on several floors making it unbearable at times. This aspect of the cruise left a really sour taste in our mouth’s, literally. NCL really has to do something about the smoking.
The ships condition was fine everything was nice on board as far as clean and well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The room itself is fine, it was the room attendant service that was failing.
Ship tip
Unless you’re a smoker steer clear of the casino area of the ship.
The new cruise terminal is actually quite nice but venturing beyond the gates on foot is not recommended. If you are going to leave the cruise port make sure you were on a tour of some sort don’t wander off on your own.
