Don’t leave out of NY in winter, don’t ever pay for Wi-Fi! Pray you don’t need to talk to guest services as they never once picked up the phone and the lines were ridiculous and you couldn’t hear them due to activities in atrium. Worst cruise ever!
Embarkation
1 out of 5
It was several hours late and we waited outside in the frigid cold for hours before they sent us to a building with no heat for another 2 hours and then waited in long wrap around lines to check in. Worst ever!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was very good. Restaurants too small for the amount of people. Couldn’t make reservations after day 1 for specialty restaurants. Too many people for size of ship
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Weather too cold for any outdoor activities. Indoor activities were too packed to see or participate.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The one show we were able to get a reservation for was fabulous. All other shows were booked and we couldn’t get. In. Too many people for size of ship

Ship Quality

Cleanliness was awesome. Layout was poor. The guest services, port excursion, dining reservation desks were in atrium where all activities took place, so you could not hear any of the staff. Everyone complained…it was awful
Cabin / Stateroom

Very nice cabin, shower was amazing!
Ship tip
Do NOT pay for Wi-Fi. I paid double for Wi-Fi because original Wi-Fi was limited. I upgraded to unlimited superior Wi-Fi that didn’t work 98% of the time. I feel it should be refunded
Horrible…unorganized chaos. Packed halls and common areas for hours. Worst disembarkation experience. Then they wouldn’t let us off because they owed me $26. I said repeatedly…just send credit to the credit card on file..they wouldn’t …I told the, to keep the ,only and let me off the ship…they wouldn’t let us off. Had to wait an additional 45 min to get $26 back…horrible experience!
The number ONE reason we LOVE cruising , no cellphones and NO internet. Period. The world will still be there in a week when you return . I will PAY extra to be on the ship with no internet (except for the navigational purposes and safety) My kids are 23 and 18 and even they love to be in vacation mode away from the toxic world.
I agree about wifi, people complain non-stop, still throw their money away. We had one cruise from NYC in January, absolutely no issues except first 2 and last 2 days were in a cold weather (it was a 12 day cruise). Of course, it was 10 years ago.
3 things to avoid for a better experience - Cruising from a Northern port in winter, purchasing the WiFi and cruising around a holiday or when schools are out.
