Overall we had alot of fun and would like to go to other ports maybe Alaska. See some wildlife and whatnot.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Very long process. Even though you pick a time to embark on the ship everyone still waited no matter what time they choose. There was alot of people on this cruise though. Seemed very unorganized
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was very good. We kept going to the dinning rooms instead of the buffet because it seemed like they had better food options instead of burgers, hotdogs etc. The Mojito bar had the best drinks. Although I didn't have the drink package I had one to two drinks a day. much cheaper option than the drink package. If you are the type to drink all day which most people did then yes get the drink package.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I did the rope course which was fun but they didn't have the zipline part open which was a bummer. They took away the mini golf and rock climbing to extend the rope course which i was sad about. I went on the water slides which was fun. For the freefall you cant wear jewelry so be aware. The ship had many jacuzzi's which was nice and music playing most of the time.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
They always had trivia, entertainment and movies playing throughout the day which could keep you busy. The comedy show was good, the dueling pianos was really fun and the movie scene sketch was really fun. The cruise director Simon always made announcements to keep people updated. He was really fun!
Children's Programs
I do not have children but I saw alot of teenagers on board
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was amazing!!! dinning service was always great. Ronaldo took care of our room multiple times a day and was always super friendly. The staff really do try their best to give great service and it shows.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was always clean
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Room was big enough for two adults. Balcony was small but it was nice to listen to the waves and get some pretty awesome pictures of the sunrise. Shower was small but again it is a cruise ship.
Ship tip
There is alot of clubs and bars on this ship so there is plenty of places for you to socialize with people
Besides the slow boarding process to get on, getting off the ship went really smooth. I think they need to get more organized on that part. I live in NY so nothing new for me
When you get off the ship you have to wait for a water taxi to take you to the island. This also took forever. They announced that if you have an excursion that you can get off any time you like. So when we went to get on line we waited about an hr to hr and a half to get on the water boat and then we waited like half an hour just for the boat to fill up. It was very slow process. Because of this we didnt have much time on the island which was very annoying. The Island was very pretty. Be prepared to spend money for umbrellas because there was no shade on the beach. $25 for umbrella and $45 for the blue shade which we got and I wouldnt recommend it. It got very hot in there. I did the ziplinning which was ok. This is good for first timers because it is very slow but the view was amazing. the staff was good, triple checking your gear each time but it was unclear where you should hold as you are ziplinning. We had three people tell us different spots to hold. They have free buffet which was good.
Getting off was very smooth. They get to the port very early so you have a lot of time on the island. We just walked around to the straw market which was ok. I didn't see anything I liked. Be prepared the locals hustle a lot and take it personal when you don't want anything for them. I went to the rum cake factory which was good and we also went to senior frogs and Sharkeez which was really fun. If you like to drink these are the spots to go. I bought a couple of shirts that were $20 each which wasn't too bad. Overall nice port.
