Overall it was fun to get away with the family. Love Norwegian....not the getaway. It will be our last time on the getaway for sure. As I said before there are two many outdated things.

All the food was pretty good in all the venues we ate at. The drinks were on point. The only bar we didn't like was right outside the buffet. Aside from him being unable to make basic drinks he had a piss poor attitude. He literally shooshed us away after handing us our drinks.!

The pool was great. The water was warm which helped since the air was bitter the first few days. There was no mini golf,rock wall, trampoline or web thing they said was onboard. I don't expect perfection but I asked ahead of time and was told they still had that on board. That is the part that bothers me.

The show " junk" was so good! They were really amazing and super funny. The meal with it is one of the best steaks I have ever had. Theagoc show was also very good. We saw it twice lol.

We spend alot of time here with the kids. The package is definitely worth it ..However...while I still feel it deserves 5 stars..There is no attendant to be found and some of the games are starting to fall apart.

My teen loved it. My daughter is 6 so it was closed for her but they do open the teen part for all kids throughout the cruise at different times.

The cruise director is in need of training...We went on the escape a few yrs ago and the director was always around. He made you feel like you were at a constant party. This guy? He was like a wet noodle.Barely present...and when he was I got boring vibes from him. The sail away was awful. No music....boring retirement boat atmosphere. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive. Our room Stewart was a sweet guy. There were a few staff members that seemed angry.... annoyed and somewhat agitated. We caught attitude fr several for no reason. My family and I are pretty easy to please. Those few ppl kinda killed it . We were expecting it. First time not being happy with Norwegian.
Ship Quality

My kids loved the ship. ( Minus the annoyance with the things that weren't there any more)It was their first cruise. With that being said it wasy husband and my second with Norwegian. Our first was the escape. We will never go on the getaway again. It's the escape and newer. Not a fan of the older ships. They need to update the getaway and be truthful when being asked what's on the ship. The over all cleanliness was good.
Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony was small but comfy. The bed was near the sliding door which we liked. Clean. The room Stewart Stephen was very good.
Ship tip
Don't do it if you have kids. So many things need work that it would be a better option to go with a newer ship like the escape or joy. Pick a newer ship. It would be good for anyone who wants to hear 70s music all the time.
Do the dolphin encounter at blue lagoon. It was amazing
Definitely worth the price point. The ports construction does suck. Makes the walk so much longer.
