Review summary

My husband and I are so impressed with Norwegian that we haven't even been home 2 weeks, and we've booked two more cruises. I think Norwegian really goes out of their way to give the guest the most amazing experience.

Embarkation

I have to admit, it was really disorganized. No real lines. New arrivals walking up and blending in line in front of us after we'd stood in line for an hour. Kinda frustrating.

Food and Dining

The food was absolutely delicious! I've been thinking about it since we came home! Cagney's, Ocean Blue, and the main dining rooms. Even the buffet was pretty great for a buffet. The only restaurant we didn't really care for was Moderno.

Garden Café

5 stars as far as buffets go. I even seen them making a women a specially pizza with goat cheese. They try to accommodate and please everyone. I think it's pretty incredible that the bus boys/ girls immediately jump to clean any empty / dirty tables.

O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar and Grille

We loved this place! It was always great for a quick, delicious bite to eat! My husband is still dreaming about the jerk chicken wings. The wait staff is always so upbeat and friendly. Just an all around great place!

Waves Pool Bar

Charles, the best server ever worked at this bar. After a couple days he knew our routine. He'd see us coming on to the floor and he'd hold up his hand giving a signal asking if we wanted one or two drinks. He was amazing! We hope we get to bump into him again someday!

We're amazed at the kindness and friendliness of the crew! And they work so hard! We seen some crew cleaning. I pointed to my husband and said " look how fast they're moving" . We'd never see that at home. Lol. I was so surprised at how they go there extra mile for you! At dinner I asked if their bar made a particular drink. She said that their bar didn't have it, but they'd be happy to go to the bar downstairs to get my drink. I said no way.. it's no biggie. I'll be more than happy with ice water. She insisted. I said no, I don't want you to go through the trouble. She insisted until I let them get my drink. Talk about customer service! Wow! I was also surprised about the excellent job the cleaning staff does! How do you keep a ship with over 4000 passengers on it immaculate? I seen them cleaning and scrubbing decks all through the nighttime hours. Seeing our smiling room steward, Josephes. was always a great way to start our morning!

Even though it rained, we enjoyed this day the most! We did the zipline, monkey/ sloth, beach/ snorkel break. We chose to skip the beach due to the rain, but we still snorkeled. All of our guides were great that day!

It wasn't how I wanted to end our vacation... but everything can't be perfect, right? I think the problem was that we had a airport transfer through Norwegian. I think we'll go a different route next time.

My wife and I loved this ship. We have been NCL from or first cruise and have no desire to go with any other line. We hope to sail on all of the ships in the fleet. thank you for sharing your adventure. We are looking forward to Alaska!

The beauty of cruising is finding what YOU like about cruising, and which cruise line and ships interests YOU. No one else can make that decision for you. Even in food and activities, everyone's tastes are different... and that's ok. I'm definitely a try it and see how it feels kind of guy, or research it in detail to see if it looks like a good fit. I was a faithful Carnival cruiser, then tried NCL, then RCL... each has their pros and cons. Ive only had 1 cruise that I was ready for it to end. Lol Keep cruising, keep enjoying, and smooth seas to everyone!! 🙂

Glad you enjoyed it. Some recent reviewers posted it was their worst experience ever, with nothing to do, horrible food, etc. I’m not sure how some people find a way to be miserable on a cruise. They must just be looking for something wrong.

I love NCL too! My prefered Cruise Line. The staffs, the food, the shows, their ships. Everything is excellent! Make sure you are enrolled in their Latitudes reward program. The best in the industry! Great perks awaits you when you reach Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum Plus level. I've been on many NCL ships, they are all great. Enjoy your next cruise!
