Review summary

This was our 13th cruise on NCL and we enjoyed ourselves. You have to go into it knowing that you are going to have some long lines and loads of people most places but with that thought in mind you can find some places that aren't real busy and enjoy yourselves.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Waited until 1:30 to head to the Port and we were at the end of the process, not much of a wait

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Ate @ the Buffett most meals and it was good. We did eat @ Teppenyaki, Cagneys, LeBistro and Moderno. All the Specialty restaurants were excellent, great meat, very tender. Teppenyaki is our favorite and we ate there twice on this cruise as we do most cruises.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The Water Slides were real fun and I did those numerous times. I did the ropes course once and it was very interesting and challenging.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Didn't go to the shows in the Theater as I didn't want to fight the lines but loved the comedians. Listen to a lot of the live music on board and enjoyed most all of it.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room Steward, Kong, was very nice and efficient. Other personnel were friendly and helpful except for the staff running the water slides, most of them acted like they would rather be somewhere else.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was in Drydock in May of 2019 and overall looked very nice. I didn't notice any dirty areas in my walks around.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
If you want a cabin that is quiet, dark and close to the elevators without the noise of the elevators this is the cabin. Loved this location as it was very quiet and very dark for good sleeping.

Ship tip

Plan your trip and book specialty restaurants ahead of time as well as excursions. Keep a map of the ship in your pocket at all times.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

Took at walking food tour of the French Qtr which was excellent. The guide gave us some history as well as trying different things unique to the area. The WWII museum is a must see if you have never seen it. Also did the Hop on Hop off bus tour, which was very nice and informative.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

George Town, Grand Cayman

Took an excursion to the Distillery, brewery and rum cake factory. Have done this one before but it was well worth the money and got to see some the neighborhoods.

4 out of 5

Took the City tour that then drops you at the airport, would highly recommend this tour. We do this on every cruise and really enjoy them.
