Review summary

The entertainment was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful . Awesome restaurants. Bad side is the pools are very small. Very large Ship a lot of walking. Concentration is on water slides more so than pools

We did the cave tubing excursion in Belize (we booked through Carnival) and it was great! Sorry to hear you had a less than enjoyable experience

Just booked the same 14 day cruise. Just got off the getaway. It is an awesome ship. You will have a great time. The deal on this Cruise was definitely too good to pass up.

We are going on the Getaway next Oct for the 14 day Transatlantic from Denmark.... looking forward to a different cruise line, and new ship. Weve always sailed with Carnival... but got a killer deal in this 14 day with NCL for $920 each.. for a 14 floor balcony room... and ut uncluded the free drink package and free wifi!! It was too good to pass up!! Lol

That's what I found lacking too. I missed the big common pool area. But I did enjoy the adult area with bars and hot tubs and the big screen. Probably won't book Getaway again but glad to experience it. Beautiful new ship. Great food and staff

Went cave tubing last week. Was on the Getaway. Absolutely no problems with our cave tubing experience. Booked directly through the ship.

Cave tubing in Belize very dangerous!!! Ecological Tour company uses inexperienced guides. Nearly drowned 8 of us. Definitely don't take children on this. IT IS NOT A LAZY RIVER!!!!
