Unless you physically give the customer service rep cash to put on your kids accounts then they will charge your card that is on file for whatever limit you set. Not sure why you would think they wouldn’t charge your card immediately. Whenever we have set a limit for our kids they can’t spend beyond what we tell the cruise line to let them spend. Also we always monitor our accounts just to be sure our kids accounts aren’t being charged more then we set. Never had an issue.

I agree with the last comment why did you say room was good when you only gave 2 stars and everything was terrible on board I cannot actually believe it was as bad as what you are saying. We were on Norwegian cruise last month and we could not fault them at all but there is always one ready to bad mouth I can not be done with that instead of doing it on here complain to the cruise line if it was as bad!!! they may want to hear your little rant

Sounds like cruising is not for you. Most love it, but it’s not for everyone. As far as additional charges, you don’t have to purchase anything other than the basic cruise price. We never purchase anything additional (specialty restaurants, alcohol, etc.) and have a great time. As far as spending limits, if you can’t trust someone on your account to limit their spending, don’t add them to the account, don’t blame the cruise line. I see some people complain that there was “nothing” to eat or the food was “horrible”. Food is subjective and everyone’s expectations are different, but I have always found a good selection of options at both the main dining rooms and buffets on all cruise lines and have never had anything “horrible”. I’m not sure what most are used to eating when not traveling, but it must be incredible for some to say the food on a cruise is inedible.
