Review summary

This was our third cruise to Bermuda. It is very convenient for us because Boston is close to home and we do not have to fly anywhere. We love Bermuda and the weather there,

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation went smoothly. Mostly waiting to get through security that took awhile.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the food throughout the ship's restaurants and the buffet. Plenty of food and the variety was very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sunshine is our kind of activity. Casino time was good except for the smokers.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Entertainment was great. Shows were good and Atrium musical entertainment was very good.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was very good. No complaints.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Love the Gem. It was kept clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was kept clean, our steward was wonderful, his name was Ma. Bed was comfortable and enjoyed sitting on the balcony.

Ship tip

Follow the fish on the carpet in the cabin corridors and you will always find the front of the ship. Lonely red fish swims toward the back of the ship.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

4 out of 5
Boston is a great city. We live close by and it is our hometown.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
No excursions, we walked around and rode the free train around the dockyard. Plenty to see and do. Hamilton and Georgetown are a ferry ride away.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We had priority disembarkation, we ate breakfast at 7:30am and were off the ship by 9am. Home by 9:30am.

I’m curious why you had such positive comments and then gave almost everything 4 stars instead of 5...
