Review summary

This was the worse cruise I have ever taken.  The service was poor in the state room, as well as the dining room. We waited over a hour for dinner to be served. I have young children and to dress them for a nice dinner and wait so long that I had to take them to the buffet to eat because they were so hungry.  I am totally disappointed in Royal Caribbean.  This is not my first cruise on this cruise line, or even this ship.  The service had gone down so much.  Carnival would have been a better choice. I have always thought Royal Caribbean to be a step up, but not anymore.

If you are on Cruiseline.com, ‚ they "Verify" that the people were on the ship and cabin # that the review is headlined. ‚  ‚ They know that Mr. Smith was in cabin 1234 on the 2-2-17 cruise on the ship that the review is posted under. ‚  This is all verified with the cruise line and travel agent to get the official "Verified" green ribbon in the heading of the review.

There are things that you do not get on Ship Mate that you get on Cruiseline.com.

esm is right, there is no mention of NCL. and they mentioned RCCL not once but twice. There is no cruises on the profile. Probably just posted in the wrong thread.

JusMe: actually just the opposite.... there is nothing that "verifies" they were on NCL.... the review complaints are generic (no mention of the name of the dining room that gave poor service to identify the Gem), they have NO cruise history to say they were on the Gem, they do NOT reference NCL by name in the review, they spell out TWICE a cruise line that doesn't even begin with a "N".. . if anything, the OP was confused and accidentally posted in the Gem thread

The review was "Verified" as NCL(that they were on the NCL Gem and in that cabin)  ...... so they were on NCL,  they are just confused a bit.

lol..... and it's not like spell check changed it from RCCL to NCL.... they spelled Royal Caribbean out not once but TWICE.

I'm a lil confused. The post is under Norwegian Gem, but were you on Royal Caribbean?
