Review summary

Not sure if I would cruise with a high percentage of baby boomers. I am not sure if this was only advertised with AARP members. I like a diverse environment and this made me feel out of place. It felt like I needed to be at least 70 years old to fit in with any group. Nothing against seniors but I could wait another 35 years to engage with the groups that were on board.

I just wonder if there was a special for senior citizens for this trip. I felt like I checked into a luxury nursing home. I pray my next cruise is nothing like this one.

I went to Canada.

Bups -is the only one that may know what I experienced) You knew exactly which cruise line it was NE CANADA! This was not my first cruise with Norwegian.

Sherryslm-thank you for sharing your experience with me. That's how I felt on my first cruise. If the Canada cruise were my first, I don't think I would do it again.

Dawnro- It would have been the same if I were on a cruise with majority of "Spring breakers". I just want to enjoy the place that I am at this very point in my life; not 20 years in the past or 40 years into the future.

Davinahere- I am sure that will be fun for you and your family. I would love to hear about you experience. Please share them with me. I have been to  PR before but not on a cruise. The experience was great!

Buckpasser- Thank you!

Senior s pick these Sept and October Cruises because the kids are in School. It's a leaf peepers cruise

I get it. I'm really hoping for people to hang out with that have similar interests and wanna have fun the same way i do! I chose Norwegian pretty much because of freestyle dining... Mmmm food. This is my first cruise ever...countdown 80 days! Dec 4th from San Juan, PR. I'm really hoping there will be a variety of people...im hoping the clubs play some good hip hop or at least old school and funk...I want to dance! (Does anyone know about this?) I'm bringing my teenage daughters, who wanna have fun their way, too...(they want to meet other teenagers) so a variety would be nice....love hanging out with the more seasoned peoples, also. ... 😌 but, reaally i just crave the sun and the food !!!!

I Loved the GEM one of my favorite ships. There were many people in my age range 40's as well as younger 20's, 30's and family's too. I would say all ages even 75 plus. It was one of the best trips I had a I met alot of great freinds that I still keep in touch with and even cruise with now. I am actually planning another trip on the Gem in April.

We went to the Bahamas on the Gem in July. It was all mixed ages, we had a great time. You must have been on with a group

I'm guessing this was the NE➡Canada cruise.

we have cruised on the Gem 5 times. every trip had people of all ages on board. I happen to be 76, but we mingled and made friends with many younger people. from age 26 to my age group, and everything in between. maybe you just were not at the right places.
