Review summary

Our first cruise could not have been better! The perfect ship, the gem! We had an inside room since we had no idea if we would be seasick. As I know now the room really was basic but to us it was perfect. The bed comfortable, the room big enough and our steward was wonderful. He made towel animals each night and really wanted to please us so he often would make 2! We bought the spa passes and were so thankful! This was pure relaxation! The restaurants were very good, and yes we did the specialty restaurants several times when we wanted to splurge. We were totally sold on Norwegian from the first night!

That is, you can get Meclizine on the ship. Usually at Pursur's station. My wife and I will be on the Gem 11/23 for our Anniversary. It will be my wife's 1st Cruise. Can't wait until MONDAY!!!!!!

Jchrist, these ships are so safe. I've been on 2 ships with Carnival in the past, and I can say that taking a vacation Cruise is THE BEST. If you like QUIET, you've GOT IT!! If you like ACTIVITIES, you've GOT IT. If you enjoy FOOD CHOICES, you've GOT IT. As far as Safety, these ships are loaded with technology. Also, if you are concerned about FEELING THE WAVES, you can a Pill called Meclizine.

The ship is very steady you will be alright Just use the sea band only if you need it but I bring Dramamine for just in case I need it on the ship but trust me that's very rare The captains on these ships are very knowledgable and you have nothing to worry about You will be amazed.

I'm Hoping :) I booked back in may and I'm pretty sure everyone is tired of hearing me talk about it. any suggestions? I bought sea bands just in case :)

Trust me you will be very safe on a cruise Lots to do and lots of food the shows are great the staff is unbelievably nice You will plan your next cruise while you are on the cruise I'm addicted!

I'm getting slightly anxious as we get closer.. the thought of being in the middle of an ocean with sharks kinda scares me lol. I always think the worst.lol
