Everything about this cruise was great, except for the fact that Tropical Storm Cristobal and 11 1/2 foot waves preventing the tenders from the ship from going into Norwegian's private island "Great Stirrup Cay".  Can't say enough good things about the food, the entertainment, the spirit of service from all the crew on board.  I would definitely recommend Norwegian Cruise Lines again.

We could not have asked for a more wonderful room steward, "Elme". Two of my 4 grandchildren shared my stateroom, and they wanted to take her home with us (I did too!) She did a fantastic job!

Ship Tip

Get your breakfast at the buffet, and then eat in "La Cochina", which is air conditioned, instead of eating outside. Be aware of the fact that there is a free land shuttle from the ship's docking pier to excursion points. Saves a 10 minute walk, which helps, especially if you have a cranky hip!

Get to the port early. Our boarding started at 11 am, we arrived at 10:30 AM, and were pretty near the beginning of the line.

Airboat Adventure & Combo Shuttle
Not applicable. 11 1/2 foot waves prevented our ship's tenders from going into Great Stirrup Cay.

Go to Cabbage Beach, NOT Goodman Beach. Again, because of the tropical storm, the waves were very high and rough and undertow was bad.
