2 Night Cruise To Nowhere (Boston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: December 15, 2007
Ship: Norwegian Gem
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Family (young children)
Reviewed: 8 years ago
It is hard to get around the ship. We did not like the design of common areas. Passenegers were promised a football game. The ship got large numbers of people into bars spending money and kept announcing the game will be on in a minute. It never happened and people were very upset.

Food and Dining

We could not get into any specialty restaurants. The food quality may have been better there but accessability is poor.

Much better on other cruises I have taken.

If you have kids, this is not the cruise. Ours were bored silly.

Security was insulting and rude.

Pros: Freestyle cruising is great and the food was OK. Hard to get into the good restaurants.

Cons: Boarding was a huge mess as was disembarking. Total disorganization and very long lines.

Recommends Norwegian Gem? No.
