My husband and I just returned from our cruise aboard the Norwegian Escape celebrating my retirement.   This was our first cruise on NCL but it won't be our last!  We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, the entertainment, and all this ship has to offer.  Everything was top notch, the Escape was new and beautiful & the service great!  The freestyle dining suited us great and we thoroughly enjoyed all the different dining venues.  

NCL needs to have a better program of activities, their activities are not up to par with the other cruise line companies. And they have an extra fee for everything!

But the staff was amazing, the best staff of any cruise line company!

Shows grand and well done, food in Garden Cafe. Manhattan, La Cucina,  and O'Sheehans excellent.  Served well and presentation most excellent. Our cabin steward was superior, a big change from 2015 experience. Pianist Darryl wrote some of his own music, taught us to listen to the instrument in a different way.  Most enjoyable.

The only bad thing was parents who let their children run wild, without concern for some of the older adults on board.  NOT NCL's fault, they have great programs for children, some parents just do not understand they need to help children understand screaming and pushing is not acceptable.

Not on a ship, nor in port.

We have sailed Celebrity Princess and Carnival,2nd time NCL brand new ship. Hi lights: fabulous food, are at Teppanyaki, Cagneys, Moderno, lacucina, Food Republic, Osheehans and buffet.  Excellent service, numerous choices. Cabins spotless, plenty of towels, in shower shampoo and shower soap, steward very attentive and always remembered our first names. Shows are great, talented young actors. Saw and recommend After Midnight, Brat Pack tribute, dinner and show with musicians like Frankie Vallie, hypnotist funny and the participants hysterical. All the entertainment in the Atrium very good and their game show knock offs were fun. Ports Tortola excursion to Virgin Gorda okay we simply weren't impressed with the island. Atlantis day in Massau spectacular beach and resort. St. Thomas always good. Trip to st John this time for snorkeling was fun and very helpful tour guides. Last but not least the very best servers on any ship. They work long hours and took great care of us. Look for Reinzi at the pool. Great gentleman  we got to know him and would choose a cruise wherever he is at. The only downside embarkation needs some work. DEbarkatiom simple and quick when you walk off your own luggage. Brilliant idea. Off and I'm taxi within 20 minutes.  Go have fun on this beautiful ship!!

Thank you Kim for helping us book this cruise.  It was worth every penny.  I cannot really say there was nothing wrong with the cruise.  Every member of the staff went above to make sure our needs were met.  The food was excellent even in the complimentary buffets.  I enjoyed dinner at Teppenyaki the most, although they were all good.  We will definately be back. 

I was very impressed with the condition and decor of the ship.  I appreciated that beverage and photography services were available, but we were never "hounded" with requests.  The quality and variety of 'free' food options were perfectly fine and a wide variety was available.  We enjoyed the many options for entertainment, and were especially impressed with the quality of musicians.  Even with three Sea Days, were were never bored...in fact, there were many things we never had time to do!

this was the the best room  we've ever had. the shower fit my wife's accessible needs  room had to be over 20'x 20' auto door was great for wheel chair the staff was great along with the food the balcony was over 20' long  2 chair,2 chaise lounges and a table excellent food and plenty of options the shows were very good also

The ship is beautiful, but pool area not sufficient. Devoted too much area to the Kids waterpark and The Haven with a private pool. Menu in the complimentary dining rooms, just ok. They make you want to go to the special  restaurants, which you can't get in because of full reservations. O'Sheehans Bar and grill is a good option for dinner, but they served the same things on alternating nites. If you like a mix drink, the ship uses Pepsi, which is not a good mixer for us. Prefer Coke products. Only elevators in the front and aft of the ship. Not enough to move around 4000 people. Again, The Haven takes up the entire back of the ship, so if you spend thousands more you get special treatment, but not for average cruisers. Very disappointed.

The ship was beautiful, but the staff and service was a nightmare. We sat down for dinner at 7:30pm and we did not our food ro about 9:39pm.My ex wife fell to sleep at the table because it took so long. That night we left the dinner table about 11:00pm. My ex wife room stewart did not clean the room ,forgot to replace the towels, and my ex wife ask 4 or 5 times for beach towels and and she never got them.I have been on Carnival 20 times and never had these problems. Bigger is not always there best

This  has been the best cruise we have been on. Wonderful service, great dinning and there is so much to do on ship it's incredibly awsome. Totally worth it. 

Service was beautiful as was the food, facilities.spa was exceptional...loved every single second!

sit down dining rooms were lovely, different menu every night.freestyle dining Sista vacation schedule we found. Enjoyed the water slides as fee were kids.specialty restaurants truly were special. Enjoyed the "unlimited beverage "package and daily activities kept us surprisingly busy.

Always enjoy cruising on NCL Escape  the crew is very very friendly.they go the extra mile to make sure you have a great vacation...you can do it all or nothing    FREESTYLE...the food is great   i feel they have a better presentation now in all restraunts and buffet cafe.

Do not like that there is no poolside restaurant.  Jimmy Buffet's Margueritaville should be open longer hours since other restaurants only offer outside dining at night.  The Ultimate Beverage Package should include fresh orange juice and bottled water.  Dining with the officers was offered on the Epic -- never seen it on another ship. As a Platinum I found few perks -- evidently all are reserved for The Haven

Not good theater show Not a daily Only two kinds only I was booked in advance , but the meaning was not Anyone reservation could also be admission without I wanted to hear more live music

Considering how many people there were to embark, it was handled efficiently and quickly.  The food was wonderful, especially the  specialty restaurants.  Much of the entertainment was too loud for us to really enjoy and the music venues in the atrium were not conducive to enjoyment as there were a lot of people moving through that area as well as casino noise.  There is a need for a performance hall for musicians like Darren, who was wonderful.  There also needs to be information available upon embarking of the quieter, adult spaces.  It took us a couple of days to find H2O adult wet/sunbathing area and Deck8, quiet spaces.

The ship was kept extremely clean, the crew and staff were helpful and accommodating.

We would have found better rates, had we not booked so far in advance.through .  My understanding was that additional discounts, as available, would be applied to our reservation, That was not the case, only if better deals in the first 48 hours.

This was THE worst cruise we have ever been on!!The ship is huge but oh so crowded.We saw lost crying kids(3 and 4 year olds),disruptive,rude and unattended kids all over the ship.Kids in the Jacuzzis for hours.There were really no quiet spots to sit and relax and maybe read for a bit.The music and announcements everywhere on board were so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with the person next to you.The pool area was miniscule.Finding a seat in the buffet area was next to impossible.Seemed to be a lot of "passing the buck" when it came to problems.Prices of sodas and adult beverages are OUTRAGEOUS!!!$9.00 for a beer???Lots of extra charges,from meals to shows.Thank goodness we had a great cabin and a super cabin steward!!They even sell a "party patch" so you can drink more but feel refreshed in the morning!!!Can you say Party Ship???!!!!We could go on but this will give you something to think about before you consider booking on the Escape...the best thing about the cruise was getting off!!!

Our trip with Norwegian Escape was one of the more memorable trips ever.  We had a wonderful time from day one and I would like to take a moment a congratulate all the staff for all the effort they put into making all passengers feel good.  Our special thanks to Mr Errol Nelson, he helped us when we thought we had lost our passports and he was very supportive and understanding.  He is a wonderful human being to say the least and you should be proud of having him as part of your team.  The entertainment was great, we specially enjoyed singing and dancing with Juan.  Food was delicious to say the least.

Ship is beautiful and new with lots of activities.  Food very good.  Balcony room was great and on deck 9 forward, balcony was decent size.  There are not enough pools for 4000 passengers.  There are the same number and size of pools on the Escape as on the ships with half (2000) the folks. In addition one pool is in the kids area. Pools were always overly crowded and never a place to sit in a chair or in the pool.  They should add a pool in the Spice H2O area.

the ship was amazing and huge compare to any other ship next to it. all the crew were very nice and helpful. had a very good time. the food through out the ship was great and lots of variety.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable 7-Night cruise for us. The Norwegian Escape is in its inaugural season and is virtually brand new. The ship is pretty large (supposedly, the 5th largest in the world at this time). It has a full scale waterpark, two pools, a ropes course, mini-golf, basketball court, jogging track, etc. on the top deck. It also has lots of Food & Beverage offerings, a sufficient amount of shows, and a large Kids Zone with many activities which my daughter loved.
