Been on the Escape twice and it had exceeded expectations each time. The service and shows are the way cruising used to be. The Chocolate Cowboy at the 5 o'clock bar was our favorite. The room steward was very nice and attentive. We have 3 more NCL's booked

Everything about this trip was fantastic! People all nice. Staff was amazing! Food top notch. Ship was spotless Had hurt myself pretty bad in Tortola and had to go see the shop Dr on board. Everything turned out ok but the staff I can't say enough about. They called several Times a day to check. Stopped me while I was out and about to see if I needed ANYTHING! Had a fruit platter sent to my room. I was just VERY impressed with everything about NCL. Even bought 4 more deposits .

Loved this ship! The rooms were beautiful. We had a balcony on the same.floor as the bridge. And had some really great views. We had such a great time. We never felt bored and always found something to do. Favorites days were at sea.

Absolutely an incredible cruise!! just got off the ship today (may 13th) booked it for my 40th birthday and the staff made it so special ... the food was amazing .... we ate at Cagneys, Le bistro, and tepankyaki....osheanns so yummy!!! Manhattan's was nice.. but the food was not quite as good as all the other places. Service was wonderful as well as the staff...the staff were helpful...acomidating and so fun! Even though you prepay gratuities...don't be afraid to give a few bucks to staff when they go over and above for you...it goes along way...and they work hard! The ship was so beautiful and clean! The only issue we had was not a surprise to us because we did some research before the cruise and it is the same issue that most people have on this ship...on sail days the pool and pool deck including spice H20 were insanely over crowded! Every square inch of the deck is occupied. We did not bother trying to get into the pool...for it looked like a sespool of urine...toe jam and community bath tub. But I knew this before so, I definitely found other awesome things to do on the ship!. ..Instead of the pool we had a beautiful time on the beach in the Bahamas! We have already booked our next cruise with NCL on the Bliss! I have definitely found the cruise line that I am sticking with!!

No glass cover for the swmmming pool, no food variety, almost the same food every day except for very little changes, u have to reserve for the shows despite they have the same entertainers shoveled from room to room!!

2017 Norwegian escape cruise wasn't all what it was like in 2016 but it was ok, robberies, people fallen out had to make emergency stops and rained at every port

Had lots of fun at theme parties in adult area. Also water slides and ropes course was fun.

Was treated amazing. Loved the excursion with the dolphins in St Thomas. Enjoyed the shopping in BVI. Nassau was a dump but glad I got to experience it.

Lovely ship... I really enjoyed the ropes course and walking the plank. Food was good... Accommodations are nice... drawback- with newer ships you tend to get smaller rooms. Our balcony stateroom was well kept in good condition... it was crowded but still comfortably accommodated 4 women.

I was on the Escape last week and I had the best time! It was my first cruise and I will be cruising again! I had the ultimate beverage package and was well worth it. I enjoyed the cafe as well Taste and Savor. Rope course was awesome. Really enjoyed the ports, especially Tortola. Soggy Dollar Bar have to try the painkiller and raspberry therapy. Overall I'm very impressed!

This was my first and last NCL cruise.  The food and service was terrible, but the worst part is I got food poisoning as did other passengers but the cruise line won't take responsibility for making its passengers sick.  In fact, they make you pay for medical services that you need because you got food poisoning.  

By the later part of the cruise, so many passengers had colds as well.  Too many people on a ship this size, it becomes a cesspool of germs.  

The three main restaurants had very poor service and often by the time food came, it was cold.  They also would not come around to take a drink order until you asked.  Buffet was actually a better option.  Others I know that cruise often say that NCL is usually known for bad food and this did not disappoint!  I just didn't expect that they'd serve food that would make you sick!

     Once again we had another awesome vacation on Norwegian! Our balcony was upgraded to a mid-ship mini suite. The room was lovely, plenty of storage beautiful balcony. Honestly the only noticeable difference was the bathroom. It was large with a rectangular shower with spa shower jets. Very nice. Our steward was very pleasant and helpful.

    Our package included drinks and three specialty restaurants.  It's so much fun to try different frozen cocktails or an after dinner drink and not worry about how much it costs. I just wish coffee drinks were included. Cappacino or espresso would be great after dinner. 

    We chose Cagney's Moderno and Bayamo. Outstanding food and service in all three. I never understand what people complain about. All of our meals were delicious, served in a timely manner and brought by friendly well trained staff. Honestly one of our favorite parts of cruising is to talk to staff members from all over the world. We have met the most lovely people in our travels! I find that a kind word and a nice smile is always returned in kind! 

    The servers work very long hours and go out of their way to give you a great experience. My husband and I occasionally tip extra, but find that we get great service with or without a few extra dollars.

    Some  of our Vacation Heroes are Via and Wilma in Margaritaville and The Manhattan Room, Irene in the Atrium and on the pool deck and , Jananina in the Atrium. Also Prosper in The Garden Buffet is apparently going to show my husband all around his homelands of Zimbabwe! Speaking of the Buffet, it was yummy especially for breakfast! 

    Our dayALWAYS got off on a cheerful happy foot with Rowen and Karen the "Washy Washy Kids"!!!  They sang and danced every day with my husband! We even got hugs goodbye as we disembarked! They were adorable! They made using sanitizer fun! 😜Would love to have more upbeat people like that in my life!

     Honestly we had a wonderful trip! My one and only issue is something I've seen mentioned in many other reviews.The smoking in the casino area is awful. It drifts several floors and you can't avoid it. The nonsmoking areas are pretty useless. The smoke gets into all the sections. I don't understand why you built this beautiful ship and centered everything around the Atrium, but allow smoking to take over the whole area. Sad. 

After Midnight was fabulous! The Brat Pack was very high energy and fun. We adored Harry Potter Trivia ! The pool area was lively but crowded. We ended up in Spice H2O a lot. 

To wrap it up, all food venues that we tried were very good! Entertainment was excellent. The ship is new and clean and beautiful but smoky in certain areas. The service was outstanding. We even ended up using the ships doctors and had a fabulous experience there! Thanks Dr. Fernandez and NurseJoan Suezo!

     We would recommend The Escape and look forward to traveling on Norwegian again!

NCL's Escape is a true escape from reality!  We were treated so wonderfully!   

Prior to sailing I received an email where I could bid to try and get a room in Haven.   The week before our trip I was notified that they accepted our bid!  Let me tell you, those people know how to treat you! 

Our butler, that's right butler, was fantastic!   Every time we asked for something he was right there with it.   He and our steward decorated our suite when they found out it was our anniversary! 

Staying in the Haven gave us a chance to have some quiet time.  I mean, it's a big ship with tons of people!  

If you aren't staying in Haven, you can sit in some really nice furniture out of the Waterfront, watch people go by, enjoy the scenery in relative quiet.

The only negative was the Cafe where the masses can eat for free. It very busy. It's right by the pool and water slides so people are coming and going all the time. But, it's manageable if you go early.   There is every kind of food so picky eaters will find something. 

Since we stayed in Haven we had priority boarding, disembarking at all ports.  We were off the ship the last day by 8am!  

We loved our cruise so much, we've booked again for October.  

been on the getaway twice so I was really excited for this one and it was disappointing, crew was rude all of them ..bar staff ropes course guys we had a medical problem where my son got injured and they were more worried about covering their tracks for a lawsuit then him I'm not a complainer and we love Norwegian but I complained to guest services and they did nothing...balcony was very dirty...we made the best and had fun but I wish we would have went with the getaway again ...or just a different cruise line

The best part of the cruise was the  variety of entertainment. From comedians to the illusionist to all the shows that were in the big theater.  It was our 30th anniversary and we really had a wonderful time. 

All of the staff aboard the Escape was exceptional.  The food in both the main dining room and the specialty restaurants was first class. The  seven day itinerary was also great ports. However there were some negative features that I will mention. The entertainment was very poor.  Not only the era of entertainment but many of the performers lacked talent. The hallways to the cabins were so narrow I had a walker that I had to ask help in lifting it over the cleaning carts to gain exit. 

This was my first cruise. I had a great time. Nothing like waking up and looking at the ocean out your balcony. Food was awesome and plentiful. Perfect portions I would say and if too small for you you can always get another. =) I did the three specialty restaurant package. Great deal. Irish Pub is open for food 24/7. 

A really great unexpected service was that they had a solo cruise director and solo meetups. I met some great people and it really made my vacation. The solo director, Shannon, booked all our event for us. Norwegian really takes care of its solo travelers.

Staff was always friendly and polite although at times it could take a while to get drinks, which are free when you get the no-brainer open bar package. Ship is huge with lots of fun stuff to do. Something for everyone. Shows, bingo, karaoke, piano bars, water slides, you name it. You will be hard pressed to do it all. The cruise director was very entertaining.I honestly don't know how he got from one event to another so fast. They must have clones of the guy throughout the ship. They really made it a whole experience. Lots of special events and parties. I did two excursions. The snorkeling was good. You can probably find the beaches on your own. I will definitely by patronizing Norwegian again. 

This ship was awesome...being a larger ship it is well designed and did not feel crowded or stuffy at any point. The crew was spectacular and I will say the embarkation and disembarkation was one of the smoothest I have experienced.

Wow! I have cruised with another cruise line in the past. I'm not joking when I say this was great. I loved the freestyle dining, and the option to dress up or not. The ports were all amazing. I don't know why everyone complains about Nassau. We booked a private island trip...while it was expensive on the island it was worth every minute. We never had enough time to do everything on board even with three days at sea.

Just got off the escape and it was awesome!! The staff was great, Irene the bar server was awesome,it seemed like she was everywhere and always made sure we had a drink. the food was delicious and the entertainment was fun! Howl at the moon was a blast make sure you check it out! Game shows were fun (I won $660 on deal or no deal!) The district was our favorite place to chill as we enjoy craft beers. Water slides were fun. I liked how there was an area for kids to swim so the main pool was mainly adults. The main down fall was the pool situation, it was very crowded on sea days and the band that plays was not my style. The have 2 large screens and most of the time it is showing a 20 second loop of an aerial shot of the ship. If they mixed up the house band, had a Dj or even just played videos it would be 5 stars.
