Review summary

Hurricane Lee caused us to miss 3 ports but NCL did the right thing for safety. We still have a great time.

NCL embarkation crew was very efficient and friendly. It was one of the quickest and easiest embarkation experiences we have had on any line.

Food and Dining

Food and drink was what we expected from NCL. Some venues better than others but this is a good thing about Freestyle cruising… find what you like. O’Sheeans is usually our favorite but it was not as expected in this cruise. Garden Cafe did not disappoint. And we found a new favorite specialty in Bayamo. It was excellent and La Cucina excellent too.

Onboard Activities

Due to the hurricane we had more “sea” days than planned and since we anchored in New York harbor, shopping and casino were not available. We had to rely on all the other onboard activities. To our surprise we were happy and enjoyed the time.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5

Disembark was not as smooth but it was not NCLs issue but the port and other cruise lines that caused issues. Four ships were disembarking at the same time and the port staff was not prepared. It was unorganized and we got sent back and forth to different buses (shuttle to airport)
