My criticism is genuine and in no way reflects the effort by the hard working crew members who actually put in effort. We have had a much more pleasant experience on other cruise lines, but this wasn't horrible just not worth the extra cost. If we pay more, we expect higher quality. Did not experience higher quality overall. Service of restaurants needs improvement, friendliness of staff needs improvement, improvement of communication (could not hear announcements in our room), safety drills were indoors (essentially showing how to put on a life vest).

Extremely long wait. We got there at 11:45 and waited close to 2hrs to embark and when we got on, we had to wait for our staterooms to be ready.

Not horrible but the dining options were all the same in different rooms. What they served in the buffet was pretty much the same served in the restaurant's. And the restaurant's had the exact same menu. Whats the point of 3 included restaurants and they serve exactly the same meals?? Restaurants need to be different menus, not just different furniture. We would have selected the vegan options if we had known, but that wasn't communicated to us that was available and you need to inform them a day in advance, we found out on our last night on the cruise.

Fitness center is too small for the number of guests. They could do a better job of informing guests of fitness activities. Jogging track is pretty much non-existent due to the amount of sun chairs laid around it. Casino is not open early enough or late enough. Needs more variety of betting tables ($5 and $25 tables for blackjack).

Stages shows and comedy shows were great. The After Midnight show was awesome, they performed very well. The comedy show's were great, the comedians were funny (Phil had some old dad jokes but he was ok, Warren B was hilarious and the hosy was good too
the venue was too small for them. Out of the bands, our favorite were the Golden Octaves, they played great music. But there was not enough variety of music overall on the ship. Need more reggae/hip hop/jazz/classical areas. Music was quite disappointing if you don't enjoy rock/alternative rock.

Have experienced MUCH better service on other cruise lines. Though the workers tried, they just didn't seem to care about quality of service. Workers seemed overworked, understaffed. Definitely did not experience great service all around the ship. Room steward was great.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size was ok, could use more space to store clothes. Our door did not close properly and the AC did not function well. Our room steward was great and very attentive. The sink water tap was finnicky and mostly put out boiling hot water. The balcony had a pipe on it, intruding your peaceful time while in the balcony.
Have lower expectations. Pre-book excursions and ask about all the free stuff before booking.
Beach was garbage. Sand was full of broken seashells, not nice to walk on, jellyfish warnings were not posted well for everyone to see. They said umbrellas are included but they didn't have enough and there was not enough help around the beach. Not enough servers/restaurants to serve on the beach.
Did a resort day. Better off booking this on your own when you get there, unless you have credits Norwegian offers you. The cruise line does not do a good enough job to explain what is available at the ports for free (obviously they want to sell), i.e beach options.

Way too early and took too long. We might as well have started to disembark the night before. Breakfast was only available til 8:30 am. The only good thing was that customs was on board but they didn't check any luggage or take any security measures. This was a drug smugglers walk in the park.
