Aside from having to turn around for a medical emergency the first night, the cruise was a lot of fun. We had high winds the first few days so the boat was a bit rocky for a couple nights but was great after that. I only wish they wouldn't stop at Harvest Caye. What a waste of time.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Very slow. Not a huge fan of Port of Miami
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food is really good but I feel there could be a few more options besides seafood and steak every day
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The Escape has so much to do you probably wont get to do everything!!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Everything we saw was great but can be somewhat repetitive.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
Or kids had more fun in the Splash Academy here than they did on the Disney cruise!?!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Service is good but not as personalized or top notch as other lines I have sailed.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was very clean but the overall layout was a bit disconnected.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was great. Not sure what differentiates the mini-suite over a standard balcony room except a slightly larger bathroom. Overall very quiet and comfortable.
Ship tip
Book specialty dining early so you can get times you like.
Sand and beach are rough and rocky. Water is murky and not clear at all. Overall ok if you want to lay in the sun. Pool is big. Kind of a fail on NCL side of things.
I wasnt expecting much but actually really loved this port. Went to Chankanaab Activity park and LOVED it. I recommend just taking a taxi to get there ($12 for 4 people) and just pay at the gate ($23 adults, $16 kids). The beach setup was great and the snorkeling was amazing. The water here is UNBELIEVABLE how clear it is. Cant wait to go back.
Getting off the boat was fine. Port of Miami was a cluster again. Took about 45 minutes to get on the bus to the airport. I recommend NOT booking transfers through . NCL and just take an Uber.
