Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Awesome

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did not get to experience any outside activities due to weather while sailing...

Entertainment

4 out of 5
DJ’s could play more music geared toward younger crowd. (20s-30s)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing staff. Not 1 compliant about them. Extremely friendly

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean overall.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Stateroom. Cramped but clean.

Ship tip

Book during the summer to enjoy outside activities and drinking while sailing. You will go stir-crazy when kept in doors. Go for a balcony. Stateroom is not worth it.

Ports of call

New York, New York

4 out of 5
Left from NY.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The weather did not permit for us to do very much. Bermuda is beautiful, but most water sports were cancelled due to the inclimate weather.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
HORRIFYING. Instead of customs picking up the fact that there was a court order on the person I was sailing with. Norwegian waiter until we had come back from our 5-night cruise to arrest my guest. Which then lead to 3 hours in customs,NYPD arresting my guest. I had to take 4 pieces of luggage myself and take a $200 Uber back to my home. Norweigian/Customs could have been courteous enough to let us know we were not allowed on the cruise with the court order, but instead they made disembarkation EXTREMELY embarrassing by having my guest ESCORTED off the ship in cuffs in front of people we had met and staff that contributed to us having a great time UP UNTIL leaving. It was absolutely horrible and because of this incident I will never cruise with Norweigian again.

I am so HAPPY I will NEVER have to cruise with you and your criminal friends, Thank you GOD!!! It is called Home Land Security for a reason, Not NCL's Home Land Security. My happiness comes in many forms, especially not having to be around criminals Happy cruising to all.

Oh my! Why would someone even post a review like that? I'm actually speechless.

cruiserssandr    4 years ago

Not NCL's fault. I would think the same thing would have happened no matter what lone you were on. You had no idea that your "guest " had broken the law??

queenb12702    4 years ago

Wow! Nice way to play the blame game. Sorry you were embarrassed but your guest knew damn well they weren't supposed to leave the state/country. You should be embarrassed for writing this and blaming it on the people doing their jobs.

Crazy thought, maybe don't sail with someone who has broken the law and then try to play the victim for facing the consequences.

No cruise line has control over Homeland Security. I can see where you may have been embarrassed by the situation so shame on your “guest”, not NCL for the situation

This post shows how truly ignorant you are, this issue had nothing at all to do with NCL. Maybe put the “blame” where it actually belongs, on the guest YOU traveled with.

Had nothing to do with NCL, only customs has the heads up. And there is all kinds of info out there on whether you can sail with any warrant. And the consequences.
