Review summary

Awesome. First time sailing on Norwegian. We would consider it again in near future

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived around 11 am and swiftly got thru the lines. Porters quickly took our large bags. We got on ship and immediately had a wonderful buffet lunch! We had to wait until about 1:40 to get into our cabin. That wasn’t bad either.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I liked the regular dining rooms better than the specialty. We did teppyanki (too much garlic on fried rice and weird green desserts), La Cucina (food was good ), Cagneys Steakhouse (awesome). I especially loved the Manhattan room. We were there two nights. On the last nite they had the singers from After Midnight perform a 15 min set. It was awesome! There is dancing too! We had breakfast and lunch at the garden cafe buffet. There was every imaginable food you could ever crave. Highly delicious !!!!! Miss it sooooo much

Onboard Activities

Pools were way too crowded to set foot in. I mostly lounged in the spice h20 where u could find a lounge chair. But on the last day they didn’t enforce the no alcohol in the grotto rule that was clearly stated and that was a bummer. The grotto is a wonderful quiet place to cool off with a shower of water. There was about 20 bums swearing and drinking in there for over two hours as the “security” person looked on. I guess he was afraid to break up the drunk idiots by himself. Not cool for the rest of the people who were clearly upset. The activities were cute. We were in some and they were somewhat unorganized but it was fun. You have to get picked randomly in order to participate. Mini golf and ping pong were fun activities for us.

Escape Casino

1 out of 5

Casino is filled with smoke and you have to pass it all the time. The disgusting smoke can be experienced on the deck above and deck below. It really should not be allowed on the ship. It’s a foul smell that lingers at all hours of the day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Awesome awesome entertainment. We saw After Midnight A+++, Ben and Cassandra magic shows A+++, comedy shows A, and did the Escape the Big Top A+! We didn’t like the Choir Of Man so much. It was not my style but they were talented. Also howling the moon dueling pianos was weird. The girl singer slowly got drunk as the time went on and lost her singing voice. Please make sure u book all your dinner reservations and entertainment before you get on cruise if you can. The ones that you can only do on the ship, do it as soon as you board ( when Escape theatre box office opens)

Service and Staff

All were nice and attentive. The washy washy guy was hilarious.

Ship Quality

Exceptional

Cabin / Stateroom

Not bad for FOUR ADULTS. loved loved the balcony. Especially since we could escape the crowds on the deck. Great views on the starboard side!!

Ship tip

Watch vlogs on YouTube to get so many great tips on what to bring and what to expect. I did a lot of research online and there’s so many people out there that video everything. Really helpful. Also, if you want Pictures, buy it online way before you get on ship. Online cost for 23 Pictures and flash drive is $199. BUT on the ship it is $199 for 8 Pictures and flash drive. You save a lot online. I booked my excursions online so I would get them. I booked dolphin quest($275 per person which is really expensive but was worth the splurge ) and I booked the Bermuda Bus Tour ($119 per person) which was great. It dropped us off at Hamilton and we had tickets for the ferry right back to the ship. The snorkel beach is conveniently located by ship and they charge $5 to get in. The rentals were astronomical. The last day we took taxi ($7 per person) to horseshoe bay beach (30 min ride) free admission $50 for two lounge and an umbrella well worth it. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. Must see. Just be prepared so you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

Ports of call
