(Copied from https://www.cruisemapper.com/accidents/Anthem-of-the-Seas-801) On October 1, 2018, a 41-year-old female passenger (Meghan George, from Pennsylvania USA) was charged with drug possession. Upon boarding the ship in call port Royal Naval Dockyard (Kings Wharf, Bermuda), Customs officers found in her purse 2x bags of cannabis. After searching her stateroom, they found in a suitcase 3x marijuana smoking pipes, 1x grinder and 1x E-cigarette cartridge with cannabis. The woman was arrested and remanded in custody. On Oct 5 (law news) she was fined USD 4,000 after admitting possession of cannabis and drug equipment. The incident occurred during 5-day Bermuda cruise (itinerary Sept 29 - Oct 4) roundtrip from homeport NYC (Cape Liberty, Bayonne NJ) to Kings Wharf.

Why would I trust a review that gives Bermuda 1 star due to smelling weed near his stateroom??? Next time give a more thorough review not just one star across the board because you're upset.

I just read that on NCL you can smoke on your balcony. But you cant smoke a cigar or a pipe.

Drugs are allowed on a ship and smoking is only permitted in designated areas, which does not include the stateroom balcony. If you don’t tell guest services about those problems, they can’t do anything about it.

Definitely need to report and follow up as soon as you discovered that. Not only illegal but smoking is strictly forbidden in cabins due to fire safety.

The first thing you should have done was go directly to the guest services and ask to speak whoever is the law enforcement on board. They must have someone because they have a jail on board. Present yourself at service desk luggage in hand and demand another room and make as much noise as you need to to get moved. You paid too much money to not enjoy your cruise.
