Review summary

Be sure on Wednesday night to take ferry to Hamilton for street fair...7PM-9:30PM. There are local artisans with jewelry and crafts and Front Street where it is located has lots of places to eat and drink. Get Ferry token at the information booth near ferries and check the schedule so you know when to leave. Don't pay extra for a large mini suite...not worth the bucks. Only the balcony is larger, not the room and people on upper decks look right down on your balcony. Be on the right side of the ship to see the Statue of Liberty as you leave the harbor for photos. We found a taxi driver to take us to pink sand beaches and give us a more personal tour than the ones the ship was doing.

Embarkation

We arrived after 1PM so the initial rush was over. Hubby uses mobility scooter and it was there waiting near door we entered so he could ride onto the ship which was helpful as we didn't need to wait for wheelchair.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in 3 speciality dinning rooms and they were wonderful.Taste, one of the main dining areas was also very good. Service and atmosphere was great in this venue. The buffet was disappointing....too many people and children everywhere. Food was OK.

5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar

1 out of 5

Hardly ever open as a bar....used for meetings, port talks, classes....not really a bar at all.

O'Sheehan's Bar and Grill

5 out of 5

Open 24/7....reliable for a good meal....especially nice when other main dining was closed and didn't want to go to buffet.

Teppanyaki

5 out of 5

Best food on the ship and very entertaining.

La Cucina

District Brew House

Service and Staff

Most were helpful and friendly. There were a few that were just there because they have a job to do, but the majority went out of their way to please, especially in the dinning areas.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Heard that a number of cabins had problems with their toilets. Ours was fine. My complaint is with room size. I paid extra for a large mini suite....not worth the money. The balcony was larger, but room was same as my sisters balcony cabin. Don't bother spending the extra...rooms are small, whatever they say.

I’m staying in this room in a few weeks. Do you remember if the bed was next to the balcony or on the other side of the room? Thanks!!
