Review summary

Once we got on board my friends and I really enjoyed ourselves and had a great time.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
The Escape is too big of a ship to have so many passengers arriving at the same time to board. In addition, their staff and check in system wasn't ready to assist with getting folks on board until after 12:30p. Waiting 3-4 hours in line to get on the ship was a lousy way to start the vacation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was great, especially in the specialty restaurants. Noticed other passengers mishandling some of the buffet food which turned me off to eating there.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
It would be nice if Norweigan offered other free activities- social club, cards etc as opposed to the expensive Deal or No Deal and Bingo games.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Fantastic entertainment, especially great were the performers of After Midnight and the Choir of Man.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
We did not have children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Billie was our room steward and he was very very nice and made sure we had everything we needed in our rooms.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was my third Norweigan sailing but first time on Escape. I was surprised at how clean and organized things ran on the ship but personally prefer the smaller ships like the Gem.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was nice but was much smaller than cabins of similar type on the smaller Norwegian ships I cruised on before.

Ship tip

Unless they change the embarkation process, don't bother to arrive to the terminal until 2 or 3 p for a 4 p sailing.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Still took over an hour to disembark but much better than trying to get on board. Despite the use of different colored luggage tags to keep the lines shorter nobody enforced it so getting off took longer than it needed to.
