Review summary

Of my 13 cruises, definitely the worse I have been on. Only because I got food poisoning, was sicker than I have been in 30 years and had to go to hospital for IV and a $2000 cash only bill. Was then quarantined to room for 24 hours. Had 1 port and 8 excursions cancelled due to weather. Was cloudy everyday and only in 60's in Bahamas. Third time on this ship in 3 years. Kids had a great time and made memories they won't forget so for that reason, it was worthwhile.

Lined moved right along and was organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Got food poisoning but not sure from what since I tried so many dishes in the buffet. Ship should allow specialty dining to be transferable to anyone in your cabin. Why should they care if me and my wife eat or me and my child eat? 2 meals is 2 meals.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Same shows last 3 years...how about we change it up a little? Bingo is a rip-off...computer controlled so jackpot is never won and payout is about 10% of the take for any given round. Don't waste your money.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Son had a blast and wanted to be at the kids club every minute!

Service and Staff

Room Stewart was great!

Ship Quality

Very nice!

Cabin / Stateroom

Last regular balcony, on the lowest floor in the very back overlooking the roof. I guess you get what you pay for.

Ship tip

Book your entertainment as early as you can.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Didn't do any excursions

Falmouth, Jamaica

Did the zip line which was cool but most all other excursions are an hour drive.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Wanted to take kids to Stingray city but high waves cancelled our excursion.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Was cold and high waves so ship continued to next port.

Nassau, Bahamas

Dirty. Did the Balmoral Island trip...2 kids did dolphin swim which they loved ($200 each) and wife and I just did the beach($100 each). Leave ship at 0815 and back at 1330, with 20 minute ride each way. Cold morning to be at a beach! Plus another $138 for pictures of kids with dolphins. Expensive few hours. They pick you up next to ship but dropped you off about 5 blocks into to town so you are constantly heckled by locals to buy something as you try and get back to ship.. Very poor set up.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick...did self check out and carried luggage.

I got food poisoning from the buffet on the Jan 6-13th sailing during the late night snack hour. Brutal 12 hours. We only ate in speciality restaurants besides the buffet for evening snacks so I think I’ll skip it on my next sailing!

What were the dates ?

If you cruise during Jan and Feb, go southern as far as possible.

Did the ship doctor say it was food posioning? Seems like a lot of people would have gotten it. Unless the doctor said that then you probably caught the flu bug. Hope your next cruise is better.

Cruise line has no control of the weather so 60s in Bahamas during peak winter season is expected. I do agree with the Bingo on these ships; did it once and refuse to do it again.
