Review summary

Would go on Norwegian again. I’m a Gold latitudes member but this was First cruise with the line in several years. Only would go Haven if I went again.

Embarkation

Super fast. Being Haven they walk you up after you check-in and right in short line to ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Haven restaurant was an A+. Service great and food consistently very good. Italian restaurant was good, not great. From bread to dessert. Service was just ok. Steakhouse service good, steaks great, sides just ok. Teppanyaki good fun and good food. Beware some specialty restaurants are not doing cover charges but rather a la carte. It changes the old experience of cruising and trying new and sometimes multiple things. Skip the buffet. No longer good at all. Aside from soft ice cream maybe. Even salad bar is pale in comparison to what it used to be.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Musicians and DJs were as good as anywhere and more than entertaining. Comedy main stage performer was severely under funny. After Midnight, no fault to talented performers, was a bore. Poorly constructed and lackluster concept for a show. Not sure who the target audience was. Brat Pack - same comments. This show and the construction of such were an utter mess. I’ve never seen such totally bad mainstays shows on a cruise. Juggler show was entertaining.

Haven Courtyard

Well kept, well stocked and maintained. Beautiful area with great attentive service.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean and kept up. Beware the area on deck 7 between elevators, O’Sheenans and the casino. It’s a total cluster and too small for the volume of guest Travel.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was perfect. Cabin steward did a great job. Didn’t bother too much or too little. Perfect.

Ship tip

Book your specialty restaurants as soon as you can online as good times will be gone. Know that the beverage package does NOT include bottled water or any food or drinks at their coffee shop. Kind of lame.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
No time there so just rating embarkation.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
If not booking an excursion things are limited. The port area is pretty nice but go outside the gates of that and you will want to turn back quickly. Lots to do

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Lots to do/see in the downtown area by the ships. Plenty of high end resorts to visit and plenty of tours. Not a place for bargains however.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Too rough to tender. Got an overnight here

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Got an overnight here. Lots to see downtown. Went to New Bahamar casino/hotel. It’s beautiful. $5-$6 per person each way and 20-30 minute ride not because of distance but because of downtown traffic on roads.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fastest most organized ever.
