Review summary

It was nice, but I will not go on the Escape again due to the smoking. The food was good. The staff was friendly. The ship was beautiful. I have been on several ships and I don't know why the smokers had the best bar overlooking the pool.

Pool, too many people for a small pool. The worst part was the main pool was by the smoker's section.

The ship was nice but did not like how they cater to the smoking section. The bar over looking the pool was a smoker's paradise. Did not like how the smokers were next to the walking/running path. Smoke every where. I smelled it off my balcony too.

Ship tip

If you are a non-smoker, this may bother you with the area where they have smoking. Right in the middle of the ship where the main pool is and next to the children's water play area. Nasty!

The smoke did not bother me. I just moved to the bar next to the pool. Smoking areas are very limited on the ship, I just stayed out of those areas.

Been on 8 different ships, 3 cruise lines, and smoke was an issue sometime somewhere, so good luck @ delia2017.

The Escape always gets lots of complaints about smoking.... We followed our trip on the Escape with a 5 day on the Carnival Sensation, smoking on the Sensation was way worse.... Impossible to avoid it on both the Promenade & Veranda decks... The casino is often the main cause of the smoking problems...
