Review summary
Cruising is like LIFE itself....you experience some good things and you experience some not so good things. As you become a more seasoned "cruiser", you inevitably begin to make comparisons between cruise lines, the ships, the amenities, the food, the pool deck, the entertainment, the service and the list goes on. Well, after making all those comparisons, the Norwegian Escape rises to the top of the list. The one category that exceeded every other cruise that we've been on in the past FORTY years was the customer service. It was absolutely without doubt.... EXCEPTIONAL! Every single staff member, from the cabin steward to the Captain, did whatever they could to make sure that this cruise was the most pleasurable experience you've ever had at sea....AND it was! Even the associates at the guest services desk endeavored to do their best to help you. Yep, I did say, "The guest services desk"! A place that I've been many times, as I'm sure many others have as well, ....hoping but not expecting a satisfactory outcome. Well, surprise, surprise. Jessa, the guest services desk associate went out of her way to honor my request. Truthfully, every Norwegian staff member did their job enthusiastically and with an honest smile on their faces. It was obvious that they did their job with a true desire to please the passenger, not simply because it was their job. Here's a really nice touch... Staff members were outside the ship dancing with music playing to welcome you back onto the ship as you returned from visiting the islands. AND even more special was the line of staff members outside the ship bidding you a farewell and thanking you for having cruised with them, as you disembarked! The ship itself was absolutely beautiful. There were more than enough activities going on everyday to please anyone's fancy. The entertainment was "Top Notch"! The food was what you would expect on a cruise. It was good and plentiful. Maybe too good, we found ourselves "grazing" a lot more than we usually do on a cruise. We loved this cruise......and we know you will too! Dr. Dennis & Kim Harkins PS It was our very first time to Tortola.....simply....Paradise!Ship experiences

Ship tip
Absolutely do not forget to go to the very top of the ship (19th deck...maybe?), where you'll find spacious sunning areas and two large hot tubs that never seemed to be used. Considering the ship holds 4500 plus or minus passengers, it was very odd but delightful to find this area "uninhabited".
