Norwegian Escape Cruise Reviews - Q&A

4.1
Just to clarify, I have never had to get a ticket for a tender off a ship. Is that some thing that we have to do for this? Often we book our own excursions not through the ship. Could that be an issue getting off the ship on time? Anyone booked their own excursion and experienced anything that would help to answer the question?

if you have an NCL excursion there is no need to get a tender ticket. You will be told where to meet on the ship and depart as a group. If you have and excursion booked via a private company or plan on getting on once on shore then a tender ticket would be required to get off sooner. After a certain time, then you just go down to the boarding area at any time. But remember they will get NCL excursions to shore in time.

If you book excursions from an outside source, I would book it for afternoon as you will not get off early! You will need a tender ticket and they go quickly! It will be at least 10 ot 11:00 before you can just get off without a ticket! There are alot if people on the Escape so it's not a quick process.

Excursions booked thru NCL will always have priority getting off the ship. Platinum or higher status can also show their keycard and won’t have to wait in line. I think everyone needs to get a ticket to get an assigned time.

ASYoung is correct! None of the ports on your cruise are tender ports!
