If you prepaid for gratuities you are NOT charged the $20 per day. That charge is the same that you prepaid, and is billed as a daily charge for people that don’t prepay.

The free at sea isnt free. the first amound is 20 percent of the drink package. the 20 per day goes towards other areas(Room stewards , waiters). You can go to the front desk regarding the 20 per person per day with service issues to pay less but the staff work so hard they deserve the daily service charge

I don’t believe you can remove it. It is part of their terms. Basically, they are saying you’ll drink around $115 a person a day and would leave an 18% tip. The prepaid gratuities are for all the other dining and crew staff. They work hard and don’t generally get tipped since it is mostly free once on board, so this is how they compensate them for the lack of payment from cruisers and thus tips.

Mikedede it's not $135 a day that's for a week.I get at least 2 frozen drinks and it's already paid form

If you opted to pre-pay the gratuities they will not charge the amount again. Cruisers who waived the pre-pay option and selected to pay gratuities onboard will see the per day charges post to their onboard account. A plus for pre-paying gratuities and activities is a streamlined embarkation and disembarkation, in my experience.

The drink package is worth it if you have more than 2 drinks a day.The daily gratuities you would’ve had to have them removed on the last day.

you can opt out of the daily $20.00 once you are on the ship & give tips directly to some or just reduce the daily to whatever you want
