Review summary

Cruise was extremely satisfying for my needs - rest & relaxation while still working remotely. was able to enjoy "me" SPA time while still clocking in hours keeping the boss happy.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
recommend being 1st group or last group to disembark for less stress, hassle, long lines, long waiting periods

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
smaller ship - less available options however very good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Thermal Spa, pools, rock climbing wall, fitness center

Entertainment

2 out of 5
personally felt the entertainment on this cruise was subpar for my tastes. However Rachael "Cher " act and the "Billy Joel & Elton John" act were sensational !!! repeat attendance worthy ...

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Louriece Aguilar Asst Spa Manager 10 stars !!! she was kind, consideration, warm greeting each day, genuine warm heart - my father passed away while I was on the cruise she left a nice note on my room card followed it up with a big hug and conversation . She is truly a blessing / valuable employee for any cruise ship ... Maricar Acero restaurant steward - WOW what a truly delight to be greated by her every day walking into the Garden Cafe- "Washy Washy " always had a cute saying and huge smile on her face making conversation with the guests .... Reynold my cabin attendant greeted you with a smile, asked about your day, accommodating to cleaning schedule always extra efforts applied to make sure his guests had a great day / cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
smaller ship by today's standards. however areas I visited were maintained - yes there are areas for improvements based on today's standards and "needs" of guests. ex. more outlets in common areas to plug in electronic devices

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
room was very clean and as spacious as an inside cabin will be. liked the split of the shower and toilet with the pull curtain. more user friendly when 2 people in the cabin.

Ship tip

Older ship - rumor has it going to get updated soon. However very nice and easy to get around.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Ponta Delgada, Azores

Cute Cute Cute town. Found a fabulous shop while wandering around - Portugal nice things. All items in the shop are made in Portugal by small business people. Hannah, Sophia, Marianne & Bea were all fantastic !!! Hannah takes such pride managing this store & getting local items from small businesses. They all shared stories about the products - the people who make them etc. I LOVE buying local items as gifts for family / friends. this store is a true gem as are the staff !!!! Definitely looking forward to sharing this hidden treasure with my friends on next years trip ...

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
felt very chaotic -- not very many staff on the 7th floor to manage the line formed to disembark.. some people politely stood in line while others jumped in at the stairwells .. very warm in the area waiting to clear customs.
