Review summary

Long line to get off the ship (we chose to carry our luggage off as we had an early flight departure), but the line began moving with a steady flow at the appointed hour, and within 15 minutes we had disembarked, had a porter on the ground carry our luggage (tipped him $10 for our four large suitcases) to the waiting GoPort Shuttle. We were on our way to Orlando International Airport within 30 minutes of disembarkation.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
With over 4,000 passengers to be accommodated, our group of four felt that embarkation was smooth and timely, with clear directions and staff guidance.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had made specialty restaurant reservations prior to the cruise and as a result those three nights went perfectly. All three restaurants (Cagney’s, La Cucina, and Le Bistro) had excellent choices and menu selections and were also able to accommodate one of us who has severe gluten allergies. We also ate once in the Manhattan dining room and it was excellent with knowledgeable and hard-working waiter’s and support staff. Thanks

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our onboard activities revolved around massages, use of the thermal suite and the Spice H2O pool area. Staff and facilities were first class.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We saw two shows in the Epic Theatre, Milo the Magician, and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. We enjoyed both and felt the venue was an excellent facility for large crowds and yet an up close viewing experience.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We have nothing but praise for the entire staff. From our room steward, to the restaurant workers, to the bartenders, all were service-oriented and always ready to please and respond to your needs. Thanks

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very clean, with the only criticism being there was only one deck (15) that you could actually walk around the entire ship on the outside.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

The ship can be confusing so rely on carpet colors to know if you are on the starboard or port side of the ship. Forward and Aft were somewhat easier to discern.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
We spent very little time here, but the terminal was easy to access, and we walked on and off to our shuttle without issues.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

4 out of 5
The island is well developed, laid out and has plenty of facilities (restrooms, eating, shops) for the large crowd that was part of the Epic.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

4 out of 5
We did an excursion on Jamaica (Chairlift, Bobsled, Zipline). It was fun, staff was fun and knowledgeable and the facility was beautiful with a view of our ship below in port.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We sent on the Tequila tasting tour and loved it. Our guide, Martin, was knowledgeable, personable, spoke great English and provided cultural and historic information that we did not have.
