We will never book with Norwegian and do not recommend Epic as it is a horrible ship in our opinion.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Fairly quick process, despite long lines.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Good service, mediocre food, not much for vegetarians.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Pool area was poorly designed and unusable unless one liked very, very loud music.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Needed reservations for most, many venues were much too small, too crowded and much too loud to be enjoyed. Pool area was poorly designed and unusable unless one liked very, very loud music. Casino smelled like a burning garbage dump.

Ship Quality
1 out of 5
Ship designed to cram as many people as possible on board. Signage was dismal. Homogeneous decor made it difficult to get around. Stairs block off at deck 6 and no "5" button on elevator requiring one to go thru the noisy and horrible smelling casino. Stairs and elevators on each end of ship, nothing in center.
Signs at elevator listed most of the venues on that deck but not a clue as to where they are. Ship had a constant vibration underway and shook so badly in reverse that things fell off shelf.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
OK but bath area poorly designed with three separate areas instead of a bathroom. Nice shower.
Someone should had told you about the mandera spa never crowded and it would have been much peace and quiet until debarkation its one of our if not besides our cabin favorite places but to be able to get chili dogs ham burgers and fries 24/7....well as you can see it doesn’t take much and besides we on vacation ;)
And you’ve had complaints about two other cruises and music.. so, either 1) don’t cruise or 2) bring earplugs but don’t be shocked that cruises aren’t these quiet, mellow, private yacht type scenarios...
1) you can call NCL, and tell them about your dietary restrictions, as well as, when you book options are on there. It’s never been an issue, ever for me on any ship.
Entertainment: Reservations can be placed 90 days PRIOR to sale date, 100 if you’re in the Haven. It’s listed on their site, along with the the booking confirmation, and when you call customer service to confirm your cruise . You can also smoke inside any cruise casino, that info can also be found online prior to booking ON ANY SHIP.
Music is generally loud, that’s a given, on any cruise ship. Sounds like cruising isn’t for you, and this is why researching PRIOR to booking a cruise is so important.
