Beautiful modern ship with lots of activities and entertainment, but be sure to make all dining and entertainment reservations soon after booking your cruise! This is not a Freestyle ship!
Embarkation

Typical long lines at the port but took about an hour to board the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Main dining rooms were nice, but you needed reservations or you may eithet wait for hours or not get in at all. Not their "freestyle" they advertise.
O'Sheehans Neighborhood Bar and Grill
5 out of 5
Our favorite bar on the ship. Food available 24/7 - chicken wings, nachos, burgers, salads all made fresh and good! Pool tables, comfy sofas and high top tables, as well as bar seats. Loved this bar!
Shanghai's Chinese Restaurant
5 out of 5
Authentic chinese food! You can watch the chefs create their yummy deliciousness if you get the bar seats.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Bingo games were fun for something to do while at sea.
Spice H20
4 out of 5
A nice quiet adults only pool area with a warm pool and 2 jacuzzis.
Entertainment

Cirque du Soleil Epicurian show was amazing for such a small venue. Priscilla Queen of the Desert musical stage show was first class production. Burn the Floor dance show was better than a Vegas show! Several comedian shows were hysterical! The Epic Beatles Band was fantastic!! Loved all the entertainment, but RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED!! This was a big surprise to novice cruisers who could not get into the shows. A few times stand by lines were let in due to no shows not arriving.
Headliners Comedy Club
5 out of 5
Excellent stand up comedy! We saw 3 shows and loved all of them! Plus the duelling piano guys were amazing!
Service and Staff

Our cabin steward Helyn was the best one we ever had and this was our 10th cruise!
Ship Quality

The public rest rooms were constantly cleaned. All areas on the ship appeared to be very clean. No sicknesses that I know of. They keep the germs down!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
For 128 sq. Ft. of space, we had a big closet with shelves and a vanity with drawers and shelves to stow all our clothes easily. Shower was big enough and toilet was in a separate little pod. Bed was comfy too! Don't waste $$ on extra cost for a balcony. All we did was shower and sleep in the cabin. The rest of the time we were out having fun!
Ship tip
PLANNING! Make all your main dining room and specialty restaurant reservations in advance as soon as you book your cruise! Same for the shows that NCL allows you to book in advance. If you wait until lasy minute, you will miss out.
The port area was good for shopping. We had a boring 5 hour bus tour called Ochos Rios Highlights. Spent 4 hours on the bus wizzing by resorts and shacks with short stops to actually see something!
Our snorkel and stingray city excursion was canceled due to rough seas so we spent the day at Calico Jacks beach bar on beach lounge chairs for $5 each on Seven Mile Beach. Plenty of tropical cocktails and food! Nice place to chill out and relax! Local bus ride $5 round trip or $10 each for taxi vans.
This manmade beach club is nice with new facilities and a few bars and a big food pavilion and a flea market with plenty of vendors. The beach sand needs to be raked to remove loose rocks and coral. The water is calm and shallow, but lots of rocks! Water shoes are a must. They really need to remove the loose rocks in the water. They are a hazard! Plenty of beach chairs and decent snorkeling.
I was able to log onto my account and make reservations for dining for both main dining rooms and specialties about 90 days prior to sailing. Call NCL if you are having problems. Reservations are a must. Kind of a pain.
Hello how do you get reservations for the free dining rooms? I looked on my NCL account and it won’t let me, just says “reservations not available for freestyle dining.”
