Review summary

Overall this was a great cruise. We had some difficulty prior to the cruise and Norwegian's Customer Service pre cruise is mostly horrible.

Embarkation

I didn't expect that Haven guests would have to queue to get on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Haven is the best! Haven dining option is fabulous. My husband got up early and did not mind going down stairs for breakfast... but one evening meal convinced me that I did not want to eat anywhere but the haven.

Onboard Activities

Really enjoyed the spa even though it was an additional expense also liked the fitness center although the yoga instructor knew very little and the 7 AM class was hard to get up for. Loved the slide and dueling piano's.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We like Priscilla Queen of the Desert so much that we went back a second night. We also liked Cirque but there was one performance in the bathtub that all 4 of us thought was inappropriate. Burn the Floor was also very good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service we received in the Haven was excellent and very positive. I can't say the same from the photo clerk the last evening as he was very rude. All in all good service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is great and decorated for Christmas makes it even better.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had the two bedroom suite in the Haven. It served us very well in that our daughter and Granddaughter (both adults) had their room and we had ours yet we all were together very much. I was worried about quarters being tight and that certainly was not the case.

Ship tip

Be sure to watch our of up charges. I went to the spa for a massage and there were a few items suggested but quite frankly I don't need a $40.00 back brush!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Embarcation is always crowded.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did the horseback ride excursion. There were 40 riders and the guides were great but the group should have been split up into smaller parties as we ended up with a long wait while horses were selected. Also, since the party was so big we did not all get to look at the pictures taken and we were promised that we would be able to see them on line. Thus far with many emails we still don't have pictures.. Horses were in poor footing and a bit ribby

George Town, Grand Cayman

With 5 cruise ships in port the day we visited it was crowded everywhere. We chose the Turtle, Hell and Stingray excursion. First was the turtle farm and there were so many people that we didn't see much. The next two stops were unnecessary and amounted to pit stops but the sting rays and being in the water was awesome. Again, it boils down to the vast number of people trying to do the same thing.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Best Day ever!! Second visit to Great Stirrip Cay and second time in a small cabana.... Love it! It really is worth the money!!

Disembarkation

Honno took us down and we walked right off the boat.
