Thanks to the great staff of Norwegian, our family had the best vacation of our life so far. We look forward to going again and we highly recommend this cruise!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Great, The lines were long but they moved along at a steady pace. This is a big ship so we expected to be waiting a bit.

Ship tip
Try things you have never tried before, whether it's a new food or learning something new, this is the time to try it. Make the most of your vacation so you will have wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
The port itself is very nice and safe. There's a nice swim up bar in Margaritaville with a hot tub and places to lay out around the pool. Lots of souvineer shops. We did venture outside the gate to get a feel for what Jamaica is really like and we were careful not to go far. Definitely want to do your research about the countries you are visiting as we knew there is a high crime rate outside the safety of the gated port in Jamaica.
We love Grand Cayman. We felt very safe. We did and excursion to Sting Ray City and we are so glad we did. We signed up for the excursion when we arrived at the island. We first took a bus to the boats that take us out to the sting rays. The captain of our boat was great as we had a man in a wheel chair that needed assistance and he made sure that this gentleman had a lifejacket and was able to enjoy the sting rays and getting photographs. The captain also could see that my daughter was concerned about swimming out to the sand bar with the waves going over her head so he had her hang on to his neck as he took her out to where she could touch and not be scared. They let us know exactly what to expect and how much time we would have before going on to a place where we could snorkel and see the colorful fish and plants. The photos they took were great and not overpriced. I highly recommend. Just wish I could remember which vendor we went through for this as they were great!
This was actually our favorite port as it was a relaxing day at the beach. This port is private for the cruise ship so nothing is overcrowded even though we had a full ship, there were plenty of lounge chairs in both the sun and shade. The provided lunch was great. The water was crystal clear and you could wade out a long way. I was on a raft and had a sea turtle come up right along side a few times. The ship's photographers were out to take photos and we got some great ones with the ship behind us.
